Yes.. That is a ruck. some teams do infact play it that way.. but most GOOD teams play it as the attacking team goes to floor and places it back so the attacking team can ruck over the defending team.

In general play, a ruck is formed when two opposing players converge into contact with the ball between them on the ground. It then becomes a test of strength to see who wins the ball.

Also if you did play in the 1920s its scientificaly proven that human mass in rugby and skills have greatly improved even over the last decade most players even at amatuer club level, have the same level of fitness that internationals would in those kind of days....

BAHAHAHAHA that is not how you do a ruck, first man in fires at the tackler, suported by second man, drives until second man says down, when the second man says down the first man drops to the ground presents the ball with a small gate for opponents to enter, second man covers over the top and 3rd and 4th also secure waiting for scrum half to pass it out

yeah thats the way to ruck if you are 8 or 9!.. trying to do that technique at any age group above will result in a serious injury.. also when you go into contact dont just place the ball down try and drive further then go to ground.. if you want any good rugby tips send me an email

Yes.. That is a ruck. some teams do infact play it that way.. but most GOOD teams play it as the attacking team goes to floor and places it back so the attacking team can ruck over the defending team.

Yes it is a ruck (in an advanced staged), but you'd never place the ball on the ground like that unless you are scoring a try. In general play, a ruck is formed when two opposing players converge into contact with the ball between them on the ground. It then becomes a test of strength to see who wins the ball.

That is so ridiculous, you at least should try to go to ground, the ball put in that position could easily get knocked on, come on expert village sort it out, you need some NZ rugby players to show you how to this properly.
