Hey can somebody help me please??? I've done everything up to "send to cracker"....When I'm sniffing and I go to the passwords tab a lot of usernames/passwords show up but they don't have ANY HASHES!! All the boxes (NT, LM, etc) are blank so when I click "send to cracker" nothing happens....Someone help me please?

@TheCYNews After you send them to the cracker...highlight the hashes. Then I think you either right click them and choose brute force attack or dictionary attack (if dictionary you'll need to go download a dictionary file.) Or those options may be under tools or something like that. But you just choose your attack and start it and then just wait.

when i try to configure my ip address, the window with all the selections comes up but where the ip address is supposed to be it says 0.0.0.0.0 for all of them. it does however have MAC address. can i do anything?

@blackdog5703 No, my friend. those numbers are uncracked passwords called hashes. From there you right-click them and click 'send to cracker' and then you crack them over the period of a few days and the program will eventually display the real password

@bisstube haha well if it were only that easy. FIrst off, there is no way you are even going to be able to access the network. They definitely wouldn't broadcast on a wireless signal. So the only way to reach the network would be to be inside the building and plugged in. Then you would need the network password. Then you would have to get passed the encryption. Basically, there is a reason you usually don't hear about this happening.

cain/abel, wireshark, and net tools 5

It is so much fun.

Wireshark is good mostly for ftp, udp, tcp connection.

You can use to detect arp also.

usually, with HTML passwords you dont need to send to cracker. if it doesnt show them there, then it didnt catch them

Hi, I currently only have a modem. When I use this radioactive symbol it basically crashes my internet because I am the only one on it. Could you please explain this? If I get a router and go on a public wifi network this should work as well right?

Oh, well it could be like 1 million things lol. Probably the firmware on your modem is old. Apr poisoning (the radioactive symbol) is known to crass wireless routers alot. But yeah if you do it on another stronger wifi it should work well. And a router isn't part of your computer btw. It's what you plug into your modem to share connections or give wireless.

Remember you have to be connected to the network in order to sniff. Therefore, keep them from gaining access to your network. Set a password. A password longer than 14 characters is said to be uncrackable.
