I agree with "username1p." The pedal makes the sound unclear and all "smudged" you could say. But the more important thing in an etude is the technique and the articualtion and accuracy of notes (for what an etude was made to practice.) So hte piano player here does a good job with that.
A few mistakes, great dynamics, but the left hand seemed a little more blurred than usual. Holding pedal too long or just the mic's fault? Great work either way.
THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER!!! BUT I LOVE MY MOM AND DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES! If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours
If you take into account the spirit of Frederic Chopin and his time, this piece is not about "rage" or being just rabid. It's meant to be noble , courageous, inspired or inspiring. So this interpretation is really good. Technical progress may allow a pianist to reach an even better interpretation
I am impressed. Technically and emotionally, too, it is a great performance with a
good courageous feeling (as to the "slowing down" emotionally it can create the impression of slight hesitation to my European mind). I'd respond to some over-emotional Europeans by saying that "Revolutionary" was a reference to noble, sort of heroic feelings, and rather patriotic than revolutionary as such (while "hatred"/ "rage" would be decadent. In reality, Chopin is far more inspiring than that).
Mean he has the good, courageous feeling for the piece.
As to Yamaha ' s fame, as much as Steinway & Sons', even if it's probably exaggerated, I do not agree with those overcritical comments on the Yamaha sound. From what I gathered there seems to be a "trade" war between S & Sons and the Japanese manufacturer (to the point of the strong suspicion that some people are still not forgiving Sviatoslav Richter for arguably preferring Yamahas... though he liked S and Bechstein, too)
I am really impressed. Technically and emotionally, too, it is a great performance with a good courageous feeling (as to the "slowing down" at about 01:26, emotionally it can create the impression of slight hesitation to my European mind). And yet: bravo.
"Revolutionary" was a reference to noble, heroic feelings, and rather patriotic than revolutionary as such (preferring "hatred" /"rage" is decadent. In reality, Chopin is far more inspiring than "hate").
People need to stop confusing accuracy with lack of emotion. Being meticulous is an important skill which this pianist (for the most part) does excellently.
as someone who's in the middle of learning the piece, and who's heard many, many interpretations of it, if I can offer some advice :
it was excellent overall, especially the dynamics which a lot of people don't pay attention to. however, I thought that the beginning of the third page, or the modulation to be too slow. you made it quiet, which is fine, but you also made it slower for some reason. so, that was really my only beef.
I don't have any words to describe how great this performance is. The great piano poet himself would probably have been happy for his work to be done so well.
erm what do you mean by asians are like robots. there are like tons of asian pianists that can play with alot of expressions or better than non-asians even for that matter...and that was a very racist comment
erm what do you mean by asians are like robots. there are like tons of asian pianists that can play with alot of expressions or better than non-asians even for that matter...and that was a very racist comment
actually its kind of a complement for asians...what i meant when i said they were like robots wasn't about their lack of expression, but about their extraodinary ability to do hard stuff that americans find very difficult to do...get me?
Ahh... you want to indulge in some racist talk, eh, you stupid wanker?? 1. "where" is not a verb 2. your mother's cunt should be sewed together so as not to give birth to another retard 3. your pasty-ass uncircumcised badly educated mouth should be stuffed by my fat cock 4. why would you assume I was from any particular "rice land" to begin with? 5. Next time you eat rice, choke on some vicious grains and die, you bloody punk.
i've been playing piano for 8 or 9 years now, and i'm starting playing this piece atm. I actually think its more difficult than the pathetique because of the enormous speed of the piece and the fact that you can't see both your hands at the same time.
please don't go bragging about only playing for 2 years and saying it's 100% "do-able"... i would indeed really like to see that video =p
O.O you are sooooo talented!!!great job..yeah you need a little more dymanics and stuff but who cares it is excellent !!!! (^_^) yeah you are really good i wish I can play that piece someday....T_T I played piano since I was six but I stopped at the age of 9 or something, yeah...and I started all over again at the age of 12 lol
Your technique is very good. I loved the accenting of the left hand... Your dynamics could have been more dramatic... You are a very impressive japanes piano player.
Cool....very nice playing left hand and also a generally great style! How long have you been playing?I've been playing the piano for 6 years and this year I played schubert's impromptue op.90 no 4!When will i ever be able to play THIS??!!!!!

WHY DO YOU USE PEDAL, PEOPLE : CHOPIN MARKED NO PEDAL. i LEARNED THIS IN ONE SITTING. Cake
username1p 2 years ago
but its written legatissmo so people use the pedal to make it easier.

Obviously your teacher pays more attention to your left hand than your right. Someone needs Clementi in their life.

las notas de la derecha no las aguantas el tiempo debido..
y la interpretacion creo q es un poco pobre, las notas estan todas, pero muchas carecen de sentimiento..todas suenan igual..
Muy buena tecnica.. pero mejora la expresion!
you have to improve more but you're in the correct way
