Jesus was in fact poor. He was homeless and what little money He did have, judas was always stealing from him. one time they came to Him to collect taxes and he told them to go catch a fish and try to find a coin in it.

solomon was rich but he said over and over again that his money gained him nothing of importance. david was rich but continually did dumb stuff with it that got him in trouble. john the baptist was VERY poor and had his head cut off but Jesus still said he was the greatest.
