Gee, maybe it's me but it seems obvious that this segment is meant to be funny, whimsical, glib etc. Anyone with a normal sense of humor can see that it's not a news segment. Duh!
On another subject, I applaud and recognize all of the teachers out there who are dedicated and serious about helping children. In grammar school, however, I had a teacher who didn't think twice about humiliating me in front of another class because of my poor handwriting. I hope she dies a slow and painful death.
@propagandadrunken Hey stalker, I didn't say you were crazy BECAUSE you support Obama. I said you were crazy PERIOD. You'd be batshit no matter who you support.
I don't know what "friends" of yours that you think I attacked, but we are all adults here and they can take care of themselves. If they can't, perhaps they should get off YT.
You're severely disconnected from reality and I pity ANYONE who has to deal with you IRL. Most especially your family. Those poor souls.....
@ciaochowbella, I don't watch AC enough to be attuned to his segment themes. The fact is that Cooper, a newsman, gave Damon a fawning pass on a serious topic, which I thought deserved fairer scrutiny. I only addressed the content to rebut your concerns about my "homophobia" (my friends would get a chuckle out of that suggestion). Yt vid titles are limited to 100 characters and, frankly, I'm more concerned about attracting viewers to my site's broader message than being politically perfect.
So what if he's got a crush on a movie star? Let's face it, part of the movie star job description is to inspire crushes and worship from afar. AC is just fortunate enough to be allowed to drool over the object of his affection up close and personal.
BTW, calling the crush 'creepy' is a bit homophobic. If AC had a crush on a woman, no one would call it creepy unless he was requesting samples of her bodily fluids or access to her dirty lingerie.
@ciaochowbella, For the record, I didn't mean to use "creepy?" (with a question mark, which you left out) in the homophobic sense, but rather in the " embarrassingly fawning over a celebrity/hero-worship" sense.
@incitebytes Maybe not, but if AC is all dewy over MD, doesn't that simply mean that MD is doing his job and earning his money? He wouldn't be worthy of the title "star" if he wasn't engendering warm fuzzies and misty, ambrosia-scented fantasies from his fans.
@ciaochowbella, Sure, Matt Damon is doing his job (I'm a fan, too). But last time I checked, Anderson Cooper was holding himself out to be an objective newsman. That's hardly consistent with fawning over a celebrity and giving him a total pass on what is a perfectly legitimate question (no matter which side you're on), i.e., why should teachers (who I ardently support for higher wages) have tenure, while firemen, police and millions of other gov't and private workers don't have it? Just sayin'.

I hate Anderson Cooper. He's boring and kisses celebrity to keep his talk show.

Wow ... Matt Damon is a complete tool. "Intrinsically paternalistic view." That means nothing. Damon is a pseudo intellectual.
