  • The worst thing ever happened at the end of this video, did see the (person) drop the cigarette butt right onto the ground? Ohh!!! Thats the worst careless action ever by a person and we as a society think its normal and exceptable. Smoke if you want! Its all good, its your right too smoke but its not your right to pollute everytime you have to smoke . The chemicals, tars carcinegon that are inside youre cigarette, all become trapped inside the filter and end up on the street or in our WATER

  • @network2005 tx

  • oprah is annoying

  • Cancer cures smoking!

  • I don't believe that someone who smokes will ever just suddenly want to quit, you just have to do it because you should. I quit 3 weeks ago. I did not really want to quit, I enjoyed smoking, but I am not dumb, it's bad for you and 20 plus years was more than enough.

  • People! I dont really care!

  • this is so rude what shes doing, if she told me to quit smoking i would tell oprah to shut the fuck up and blow smoke in her face.

  • hhahaha. i would do that if i just saw her walking down the street

  • i would tell her to stop overeating first

  • All i want to know why do you smoke?

  • my grandpa has smoked since he was 12 now hes 72 (not to be mean but im suprsied hes still alive) and he doesnt want to quit

  • I quit about 6 years ago and lost my craving to them and feel better.

  • Thank You Oprah!

  • Dont sing victory!

i quit with adrug that caused me lot of side efects and went back to smoke the moment a friend died a year later.

i stayed awhole year without cigarretes.

    I'm back in full.

i'ts very dificult to overcome i'd say impossible!

    Good luck.

  • been clean cold turkey for over 3 months and havne't looked back. so, not singing victory yet but it's not as hard as everyone makes it to be, I smoked for 7 years and stopped a week before my daughter was born, guess that helped

  • Smoke Cannabis!! it relaxes you and won't give you a cancer.

  • lol.

  • If you're a smoker, QUIT while you can. It may not be the worst habit, but certainly, one of the deadliest. Turn it over to a higher power and stick with your decision, in spite everyday challengers. ACCEPT all the help/support you can get. ORAL med's avail. by doc's script to ease your transition.

Aug08 will be 8 months free. It's wasn't all smooth sailing, but I'M SO GRATEFUL & THRILLED TO BE OVER IT COMPLETELY. HOORAY! I HAVE NO INTENTION ON GOING BACK TO CANCER STICKS EVER AGAIN. TY

  • i managed to quit with allen carr's book "easy way" , and it was really easy, i was so surprised! but you have to want it, to stop. you can't make someone to stop smoking!

  • cigarretes taste good!

  • GAY!

  • I've quit smoking after 11 and a half years! i started when i was 11. Now i'm no more cause i want to sing! Watch my vieos!!! click on my name!

  • I just watched your video. I have to tell you that you cannot sing. You also have no star quality. So I hope you don't think you're going to make it big. YOU SHOULD GO BACK TO SMOKING.

  • The nanny gov and the well intended will tell u what you can do. Ask your congressperson why they support the tobacco co w/subsidies?

  • i stopped on november 30,2005 after 24 years and believe me you dont realize what it does to you until you stop.

  • Habbat i would not say that! its an addiction ten times more prevlont than any other drug!

  • Let's all follow Oprah down the path to socialism! Forget about Oprah and think for yourselves. Oprah doesn't even live in the real world. sheesh!!

  • oprah sux

  • Smoking is just another bad habbit, like drinking, eating too much and so on...Everyone has the right to do what they want, just don´t hurt other people with it. And as the name says it: BAD habbits should always be stopped, but the person has to get conscious about that.

  • can killing yourself or leaving children or loved ones behind be considered hurting others?

awarenss can set us free of these crazy addictions/patterns/habits. call them what you will i'm glad i stopped smoking 3 weeks ago and wish that 25 years ago i'd never started. spend some time in the cancer clinic and see how it affects you after a couple of weeks..... it's a disgusting money making people destroying, world polluting, pastime!!!

  • we are all mostly innocently being conditioned in all areas of our lives. wake up and smell the nicotine it sucks !!!! "just another bad habit..." what a mediocre view of life

  • I´m glad you stopped smoking.

  • FUCK YOU ITS A CHOICE NOT A LAW

  • CHECK MY STENCIL VIDS!!!

  • smokers already know its dangerous and dont care and no annoying person running up and telling them its bad is going to change their mind. if they didn't want to smoke, they wouldn't. i'm a smoker and i've quit on four separate occasions in the last 20 years for a minimum of eight and a half months.

  • @natemcc184 8 months total or each time?

  • I meant "incredibly." My keyboard is being ridiculous.

  • Wow! That snarky girl with the brown hair sure is incrediby attractive and charming! Not only that, but I would be willing to bet you ten bucks that, despite being an evil smoker, she can also spell words correctly and use proper grammar, instead of bizarre, unheard of terms such as "think downly on." Really, what does that even mean?

  • attn smokers!* most non smokers think downly on smokers. it is hard to breathe around smoke. i can't breathe at all. smokers are ruining their lives, because they can not live without cigs. life would be so easy if you didn't have to worry all the time about smoking, or your next ciggaret.

  • Think downly? ok. Please don't 'think downly' on me! Oh, us poor little smokers.....

  • ...well when you put it that way...I don't know if I could live with you thinking "downly" on me and my "ciggerets"...

  • smoking is really dangerous! it kills a lot of people. smokers should listen, because if you don't quit, you could die!

  • You mean they don't contain Vitamin C? No shit!! And you may get hit by a car walking down the street. Life's full of risks. It's all boils down to what risks individuals choose to make. (key word, 'choose').

  • I would tell them fuck Oprah, real talk

  • the health police. Why doesnt O talk about the subsidies we all pay to grow tobacco? Why doesn't O talk about the reimported tobacco? Why doesn't she talk about tobacco being more addictive than heroin? Where's Rosie? She might do the job.... CONGESS supports the legal pushers of tobacco with our taxes.

  • Why don't you address how the growth and sale of tobacco products do more financial good than harm for our economy?

  • ksmufer Oh please, how much money is spent in the hospitals with cancers heart attacks ect ect, if you want to smoke go ahead, but don't try and justify your addiction with the assertion your subsidising anybody in the wider community.:(

  • Concerned00citizen's view was half true and bias, am I not allowed to bring the other half into perspective?

Oh and, would hospitals rather not have cancer and heart attack patients? I'm not getting your point. I'm pretty sure that sick people paying insurance companies and hospital bills ... keeps the economy going?

No hospital is complaining. The amount of equipment used for sick tobacco consumers probably isn't half as much as the hospitals receive in payment from the patients.

  • ksumfer, if you want to smoke go ahead no biggie. Its your funeral:( You have the right to your opinion. Mine is just that doctors all say smoking curtails your life expectancy and the quality of what you have left. Peace amd continued good health brother.

  • *sigh* while smoking does "curtail" life expectancy it doesn't have the same effect on overall intelligent. Your condescending tone doesnt fly over head "brother". Second, it's quite precocious of you to assume that I'm a smoker...why because I can play devils advocate intelligently? And last, if it had been your point to point out how unhealthy smoking was, why not have just done that all along? I'm pretty sure your point had something to do with subsidies but you had no rebuttal to my rebuttal

  • *Pretentious...not precocious...silly spell checker!

  • Ksmufer, LOL those spel checkers!! Fabulous that your not a smoker and I appreciate you devils adovocacy it was an good try.LOL We british do this so well it tradition:O

  • Well this didn't help...I had to light up.

  • lol me 2!!

  • my dad quit smoking its been 11 days!

  • The only reason people who quit smoking start again is beacuse they did not want to quit in the first place. I quit beacause i did not want the habit to stand in the way of my running. Simple.

  • If you want to make smoking a pollution issue, I think cities like NYC have far worse pollution problems than cigarette smoke. After all, people take the subway not only because it is better for the environment, but because there are so many cars that it is faster to go underground. Actually, a bicycle is faster than both...as long as you don't smoke. (See video: bike messengers on crack).

  • fuck yourself

  • I'm a smoker and it sucks so is my husband, we have both attempted to quit, then cave and the other follows. we don't smoke in the house which helps cutting down but to quit cold turkey, why is it so damn hard?

  • i quit smoking,,THANKS OKRA,, now get my wife to blow me

  • Smokers are SO FUCKING SELFISH. I don't care if you kill yourselves, but DON'T POLLUTE OUR PUBLIC AIR. I try to get from point A to point B in NYC, and I can't without walking into some ten different goddamn smokers' puffs polluting my lungs. You shouldn't be able to smoke where you infringe on someone else's health liberty with YOUR air pollution. Do not smoke while walking in the streets, it's SO INCONSIDERATE!

  • ...you'll die much faster from just about EVERYTHING in NYC...you are one of the most polluted cities and it's mostly from vehicles...unfortunately your complaint doesn't really hold much water...just saying.

I do agree that it's inconsiderate to be blowing smoke at people on the street but states have kicked smokers out onto the streets (especially east coast) so what else can they do?

(Just quit isn't a good rebuttal because smokers could tell you to just not breath...it's about equivalent.)

  • i'm 19 (soon) and i've smoked for almost 9 years now. i wanna quit as soon as possible, but i'm afraid to and i know that thats one of many reasons why many smokers choose not to quit.

who are you without your cigs??

smoking is bad, and show that to your kids. show them what their lungs gonna look like after 2years of smoking..

and btw my father gave up both drugs and alcohol 10 years ago but he has never been able to give up smoking, it's harder to do that then give up heroin he say's

  • Yes they need to stop teaching kids that smoking is evil. Kids when they hear that are like, "Hmmm why is it evil? It cant be that bad." Then they go try it then they die. jk.

  • Lol it's true.

  • cigs are worse than crack ladie! their more addictive

  • everybody's different so u really cant judge if smoking is bad or good if they don't want to quit and live until there 60 then their just not ready but if its an addiction then it might be different.

  • My honey quit over a year ago. I'm so proud of him. He's so healthy now.

  • after he ruined your and his own lungs for god knows how long. No, he's just a tad bit healthier, but he isn't "healthy". The damage is DONE.

  • Well he didn't ruin my lungs because even when he did smoke he NEVER smoked around me. Always outside. You would be amazed at our body's ability to heal it's self once you start treating it right.

  • blackberryjuice1 is right. Once you smoke the damage is done.

  • Smokers are forced to smoke outside everywhere now, so stop complaining when someone is smoking outdoors! It's people like you who make the *rude* smokers want to blow smoke in your face just to make you go away!

  • the key is being SERIOUS about not smoking. Nobody can force someone to quit. You have to want to do it...it has to stop being an enjoyable pastime. People do most everything in life for pleasure and instant gratification. Because the long term health effects of cigarette smoking aren't readily apparent until most people are older, it is written off as no big deal by most smokers.

If a camera was shoved in my face while I was smoking on the street I'd be pissed. Embarrassment is not a deterrent

  • VERY good point, ksmurfer! :)

  • My dad quit cold-turkey before I was born, so my mum would marry him :).

  • my parents gave up smoking 30 years ago, without any help, they helped each other, before I was born.

  • Somking is the tool of Satan.

I quit smoking 8 months ago, after smoking for 20 years. I feel like a new person now. Thank God smoking is banned in public places here in Ireland.

Please support the charity channel 4UandUTV people. Oprah your looking good!

  • DO NOT SMOKE and your life will be longer :).

  • people know when to quit smoking??? its in your mind??? so why the hell did you start in the first place!!!!?

  • Although nicotine is physically addictive, the psychological addiction is what is so intense. Physical withdrawal usually is nothing more than headaches, mild nausea, possibly fine tremors... and only lasts about three days. The psychological addiction can take YEARS to conquer.

Quitting is certainly not as *simple* as "It's in your mind," but that's where the true addiction to cigarettes lies.

I think that's what that woman meant. :)

Or else she's a non-smoker who doesn't get it. lol

  • I'm trying a new tactic right now, started yesterday....

    quitsmoking . com/ smokelesscounter/ index.htm

    Wish me luck!!! ;p

  • :)

    luck wished

  • Thank you! :)

It's very difficult to say the least, but so far I'm sticking to it. I've never been able to stick to ANY other method yet, even for one day! If I slip, I'm not going to "beat myself up" over it, but instead tell myself that it was a step backwards and just try to step forward again.

    It's been 25 yrs., I started with I was 12! So it's a BIG "habit" I've got, to say the least! =/

  • if it makes you feel any better... when you get to the point when you are smoking again... most people fail at quitting... so you are in the majority... good luck

  • Thank you for the well wishes, shadowmorman. :)

I've been in the majority for a couple of decades. It's only been three days, but I've not "cheated" yet. Some hours are OK, and some hours I pick up my little electronic device constantly to see how long until it beeps and "tells me" I can smoke again. If I cheat, I'm only cheating myself.

If nothing else, this is certainly helping me be mindful of my smoking, to notice where the habit/addiction works against me the most. :)

  • well done. It is just that I am a college student who has friends who try to quit smoking all the time and fail, but the worst part is how they beat themselves up. I have never smoked because I never had a will to, but I wish people would notice that this isnt supposed to be easy, and most people do fail at it.

Also, I am not sure smoking is as big a deal as people like Oprah make out of it.

  • Yep, I haven't even attempted to quit since 2004, because each time I'd try and fail, I *did* beat myself up over it. It's a vicious cycle. That's why I promised myself I won't do that this time.... that I will do my best, take it one moment at a time, and "praise" myself for each moment I've succeeded. Even if I do ultimately "fail" I've had more success the last three days than ever before. :)

Non-&-former smokers (generally) make a huge deal out of it. ;)

But I do hope to quit for ME.

  • Well that has to be the reason! You need to want you to quit. I think as Americans we like to make ourselves seem better than something else. So if we aren't better then those foreigners... well atleast we are better than smokers. We tend to be very egocentric... and try to act like smoking isn't a part of our culture. Mostly I think the overstatement in the dangers of smoking are done by millionaires and billionaires that want to feel good about something, but still smoke in their back yards...

  • LOL re: the richies smoking in their backyards! ;p

Yes, I've gotten very tired of people acting all high and mighty with me about smoking. I've known people who drink too much, abuse illegal hard-core drugs, are morbidly obese, or are simply rude/cruel people in need of anger management or even psychotropic meds.... talking down to me because I'm using a LEGAL substance. I stay out of their business, but they don't have the same respect for me. Hypocrites!

  • Exactly, I wish they would stop JUST teaching small children that smoking is bad. They need to teach kids that when you do too much of anything (eating as an example), it is liable to shorten your life. Also, some substances are particularly addicting and may cause them to use them more than they should. Generally, smokers don't want their kids to be smokers, so they know what is best. I pray that some smoker doesn't beat themselves up every night.. then wake to some prick doing it for them.

  • My sons both started smoking, and I've talked to them about how addicted I am & to please think about where they'll end up if they don't stop now. They're both moved out, so all I can do is make an example of myself. :)

My fiance (tomxray4u) has been posting vids about his recovery from compulsive overeating in a 12 Step program. My vids are "versatile" and erratic, but my main focus is to help those with "invisible diseases" feel not so alone, and those without them understand more.

  • have you tryied nicotine gum

  • That was the first thing I ever tried by way of the "aids" out there. Made me puke. Literally.

  • smoking is great...........but not cigs

  • i'd rather deteriorate my lungs than my brain...

  • id rather die happy on stoned, then wasted away with a hole in my throat, thank you very much

  • ...smoking cigarettes makes cigarette smokers just as happy...so where's your logic? Has that part of your brain already been eaten away by your cannabis? I have no problem with weed, but I find weed smokers to be extremely self-righteous without knowing any of the "real" facts about their drug of choice...

Sure when you compare weed to cigs the physical affects aren't the same but weed is just as unhealthy...it all depends on what you deem more important. Brain cells or lung capacity...

  • oh and by the way. im not wasting my time replying to you anymore. i have better things to do than pick a fight with a keyboard warrior who in real life is probly a very boring person who wouldnt know how to have a good time at a party.

just know that neither of us are defending healthy habits. any non smoker could come in and call us both idiots. but at least i would be able to laugh it off. you would just get pissed lol

you probly smoke lights to! =p

  • ksmurfer:marajuana is not a bad substance if you don't abuse it. medically it does help. my friend has ulcerative colitis and when she hemmorages she smokes a bit of pot and the bleeding stops and so does the pain. of course she does not smoke it on a regular basis but it does have its positive effects. she told her doctor what she was doing and he said it does help but to never bring the subject up again.

  • well u just said it...your friend is using it sparingly (illegally) and for therapy...just because the drugs euphoric effects make her high enough that she can't feel the pain doesn't mean it's a good substance.

A 2002 report by the British Lung Foundation estimated that three to four cannabis cigarettes a day were associated with the same amount of damage to the lungs as 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day, both r addictive also.

I'm not an anti-weed person (legalizing it is good) but...

  • I have no real opinion on legalizing weed or not, but what's the difference between "the drugs euphoric effects make her high enough that she can't feel the pain..." and taking 3 Aleve instead of 2 to get rid of a migraine or stubborn menstrual cramps? You're not supposed to do it, but it stops the pain!

Also Ategia67 didn't say it "makes her feel good" or that she "doesn't feel the pain" s/he said it "stops the bleeding [...and] the pain" Tylenol, Penecilin, etc doesn't stop the bleeding.

  • smoking is gay

  • thtz my mama itz about time she quit help herr

  • I think than even is hard to quit, if you really want to, you can. Probably a month ago came out a law in my country (israel) that prohibes smoking in public places such as restaurants, night clubs, etc.. I don't agree with it, because I smoke myself, but I also think is fair to people who don't smoke and don't want others to smoke near to them....

  • 4 years ago I quit a 50 years old habit of smoking a packet of cigarettes a day. I`m really happy I did it. So you can do it if you want to.

  • When you are walking down the street and pass by someone smoking a cigarette, do you really think that their second hand smoke is going to be more harmful to your health than the exhaust put off by the cars driving by? I think all restaurants should have their smoking sections completely cut off from the non-smoking with a wall and a sealed door. But once you are outside, cigarette smoke is the least of your concerns as far as second hand health effects. Don't you think?

  • I agree, here in Portugal, a new law came out, that prohibits smoking in closed facilities, like restaurants, bars, night clubs, i think it's great, because i don't smoke.

  • I feel offended when smokers want to smoke everywhere and feel its against their rights to make anti-smoking laws. what about my rights to breath in the smoke. I feel no smokers deserve priority (based on health).Nice campaign Oprah!!

  • People who smoke to irritate non-smokers are assholes. I'd like to sneeze around them while they're eating. Its the same thing.

  • i would never starting smoking or drinking alchol or do drugs i have no clue y any1 would want to do all those things geez ppl

  • hahahah yea no. i started smoking after rehab. i was a heroin addict at 12 yrs old. smoking helps me stave off the disease. GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF MY SH*T OPRAH

  • I don't understand why others would try to make other's quit smoking. I smoke and am aware of the effects of smoking. I smoke because I am able to enjoy and partake in it. I have no intention to stop. If one is compelled to quit, then they shouldn't have even started smoking in the first place.

  • No, people and their ideas/opinions CHANGE. That's how we get smokers wanting to quit.

  • I agree I think that people who smoke and are aware of the risk involved, BUT still want to smoke, Let em smoke in peace

  • Good job! Let's hope many people QUIT!

  • if you hang out with people who smoke does it affect your lunges and mind

  • tryin 2 get my mom,2 quit

  • It takes 21 days for the habit to stop

  • If one truly knows God then one would know that tobacco does not need to be feared. When considering the forces of the universe and those that also exist on earth, it then can be realized that the energy makeup of organic tobacco is actually beneficial. It is the chemical additives, extreme yin-centrifugal energy that feeds a extreme yin cancer condition. Who really needs to be hooked if it is not dirty tobacco? I can enjoy organic tobacco without an addiction craving. Transend the fear of it.

  • NO SMOKING IS GOOOOODDDD!!!! hehe

  • no really i want to quit but seems i can at all... i dont know the facts about quiting but what i know is that it takes like 10 times to try before you can actually QUIT IT... but when i considered smoking , all it took was just a stick of it but i did not know the stick got friends.... very adictive ....

  • Oprah you ought to take some advice from your sister Whoopi Goldburg on supporting candidates. She whooped your ass at the oscars, and she's whooping your ass in choosing a candidate. Go Hillary!

  • Hey lets go to people in line at McDonalds, and say why do you stuff your face with burgers and look like a fat slob? This is the same thing isnt? Yes it is. Mind your own buisness.

  • I've made that point myriads of times.

    They don't get it.

It's "OK" to command that people don't smoke, but it's not "OK" to tell others not to drink alcohol or compulsively eat, etc. THAT is considered rude and impeding on others' private choices and lives.

    Hypocrisy much?! ;)

  • Do we live in pretty green places? Look at how many weed killing carcinogens are in your water supply? Acceptable amounts of course!

  • Non-smokers are in charge! PERIOD! It doesn`t matter any more if anyone else has rights. We can blame ANYTHING on smokers at this point. Do you really think that second hand smoke is that evil? I work in a restaurant that is 100 yards from an interstate. Do a study on how much CO is in the air here?? We don`t care though, as long as we can keep driving our mini-tanks and rely on fossil fuel! But wait, smokers are the problem, right?

  • chriscoCCCLL5:

    Hear, hear!

  • OPRAH I LOVE YOU

  • this is in the Entertainment part of youtube move it to helth theres nothing Entertaining about this

  • Wow, I didn't even notice that! Those who gave you a "thumbs down" don't GET IT, apparently. Or else they are fans who think you're putting Oprah down (or whoever is posting the vids for her, lol).

You are so right, this is NOT entertainment! What is so entertaining about this? It DOES belong in the health category.

  • I used to smoke a pack a day. Now, I'm a social smoker - only when I have a few drinks (maybe once a week). It's disgusting. It's indefensible. And clearly bad for you and everyone around you. I stick to bars and outside away from other folks. It's the right thing to do.

  • can't believe some people are proud of that they smoke, it's good to tell people to not smoke :D

  • No it's not. If you are not a smoker, telling someone who does smoke to quit is ridiculous. You have no idea what it is like to smoke so they won't care. Quitting is something you have to do on your own terms for your own reasons. You should always respect others' lifestyles, especially if what they are doing is completely legal. Smokers have been moved away from bars, restaurants, and now where I live you can't smoke near buildings. Come on, give them a break, let them live their life.

  • I'm not saying disrespecting a smokers lifestyle is good.

I said telling them not to smoke is a good thing, for their own health! To warn them about what they're doing to themselves, so that they'll quit on their term.

I'm sorry about your country, in my country you can smoke everywhere.

  • Not proud. Just addicted. I wish I never would have started. But passing judgement doesn`t seem to help.

  • im watching oprah now yay

  • I agree that smoking is bad. But if I smoke in a way that does not hurt other people, how is that a problem? Just give them a place to smoke! Alot of other unhealthy places are not considered DEADLY! Keep eating that fast food and you will have ALL kinds of health problems!!Should we regulate this also?

  • Well fast food can be completely avoided if one so chooses to do so. Smoke in the atmosphere cannot be. That is why it should be regulated. If someone smokes in a way that does not hurt other people, then that's cool! May I suggest a bolted-shut room?

  • I started smoking since I was 12. I'm going 29 this July and i managed to quit smoking. I forced myself to quit, thanks to what Russell Peters said "Be a man... do the right thing!" I'm now addicted to fresh air.....

  • Right on!

  • my mum has smoked for about 30 years and it saddens me so much to think that it will most likely kill her one day.I have really early memories of making my birthday wish after blowing out all the candles that my mum would give it up.all i can do is pray that one day she will quit.

thanks operah for recognising this issue.

  • I am a smoker and I agree its a nasty habit & is a waste of money and health. But I think it should be a give and take, I don't think it should be banned in all public places. They have banned it in bars ect here in Australia, and I think thats good, but on the street I think we should be able to, but work out a way to keep everyone happy. TBH I am sick of non smokers complaining. You can't force someone to quit, it is they're choice, but its great people want to get out they're and help.

  • You are polluting the air I breathe, and as a non-smoker, I am forced to breathe in your toxic chemicals...and for that, I believe I have a right to complain. I think non-smokers should wear a bubble around with them everywhere they go so they do not indirectly affect everyone else with their poisons. lol.

  • No, you're not forced to breathe them in, instead of complaining move, you CAN do something for yourself about it, instead of complaining about us, nobody is "forced" to breathe it in.

  • Wow...that was extremely hard to read with all of those commas that shouldn't have been there. Haha! First of all, why should I have to move? I think it is my right to stand anywhere I want (besides a smoker's home) and not have smoke blown into my face. I am not implying that all smokers are inconsiderate, but I say this to make a point. And, yes, I am forced to breathe the smoke, indirectly as it may be, as the smoke goes into the atmosphere! Where did you think it went, silly??

  • Dear English Professor: So, when you breathe in my smoke, are you breath in my fart too? Just to know!!!

  • oh come on, like smoke in the air miles away and indirect from you is not going to give you cancer, bad for you, maybe, but not cancer. And to answer mayhiew, we are the smokers if we are out on the sidewalk, why should we move either? I am considerate, but again, some of you (not all) non-smokers AREN'T. I mean come on, we also have the right to stand wherever we want. If you truely were worried about it, you would move away, you wouldn't expect us too. And I too am just making a point.

  • You are the one who smokes, why should i move???

  • exactly!! :)

  • Yes, put yours cars inside a bubble too

  • Well, I don't have "yours cars", but right on!! In fact, forget about cars...horse and buggy it is! And yes, I would be breathing in your fart...what a silly question!

    It's rancid, by the way.

  • Thanks, have a good weekend. And sorry anything

  • And I am breathing in the fumes created for the electricity you use so I think people who use electricity should be kept in a bubble.

  • You compare electricity to smoking??I m not saying that you should stop smoking. But it is true that many smokers are not considerate. Some of us have a really hard time to breathe that smoke.I think its faire enough to go somewhere else to smoke if you want to.Dont force me to move since you are the one who smokes ,its selfish

  • I totally agree with your points. I was merely pointing out that non smokers should not make ridiculous points about smokers. like putting them in bubbles etc.

  • ANTI SMOKE AMBUSH

  • AWESOME! YOU ROCKKK!!!

  • mm. i feel like a little straight edge kid butttt i dont think any drugs or alcohol in general are really necesssary. not that i should be talking because my heros (the beatles) were heavy smokers, drinkers, and did drugs... hehe.

  • ya, you are a straight edge kid. people cope, you know only the beginning for th beatles...

  • yup, killed one of them , but the ones alive dont smoke ...i think

  • if it's not right for you but it is right for others don't controll!

  • smoking isnt right for no one!

  • Haha WTF Oprah respect other people's choices we don't tell you to stop drinking alcohol.

I took a break off smoking and I mean it's healthier and all but people have their own choices.

  • i honestly don't know what am i going to do without cigarettes.

  • eat cookies... but not too much!
