I give credit to Croatia, England clearly underestimated them, but I think you're being too hard on England. This game was the best possible scenario for Croatia. The early lead allowed them to drop into a defensive style to protect the lead...hence all the long-ball clips you showed in the first video. England was pressing because they needed a tie and went with a longball strategy to beat the packed-in defense. Give them a coach who knows a thing or two (Mourinho) and they'll be fine.
