  • booooooooo ungly were the hell do we sleep in it

  • That´s Colani !he live´so th mars

  • SEE 6X6 AQUATERRA

  • 50% fuel save without touching the engine, my ass!

  • @DragonFlyback256 During highway driving you have wind and rolling resistance. I see no problem with cutting over half the drag off these current 'bricks' of trucks.

  • @velodudect

It would of course improve mileage. But claiming that it's 50% flat out, is a bit exaggerated and fishy. As how the saying holds it, if you wanna lie, say numbers. Or something like that. Probably a better way of timing injection, and not inevitably by electronical means, would save as much fuel.

  • @velodudect

And as someone else here said, it may save fuel, but no way would save money as maintenance would cost even more.

  • There has been a MASSIVE MISCALCULATION here..... what good is it having aerodynamics and all that when a 25st truck driver clutching a sausage filled breakfast roll cant get in it? Does it come with a hoist or sling of some kind?? That is my question.

  • After drinking beer, water, and coffee I am also a professor of fluid motion.

  • @Amar7605

    LOL!

  • Future truck? search The Highwayman on YouTube.....this shape was done years ago

  • add einsteins face to hitlers voice and you get this guy.

  • this guy is the perfect crazy man. he literally fits every crazy man stereotype. randomly yelling, making extravagant rediculous claims, talking with that accent. it costs a million dollars! it swivels to turn! it has bad turning in streets! no steering wheel! thank god he didnt touch the engine, the whole thing might explode. 3:40 and 2:06 best parts. fifty perthent YARG!

  • This is stupid. Pay 100x for the silly, expensive to produce, expensive to maintain vehicle, only to save 50% on feul. I wonder how much a new windshield costs, lol. About a 100x a normal trucks windshield.

  • is he drunk?

  • one more thing that he has to Install....an ....Auto pilot...

  • Concorde, you are cleared for take-off.

  • i love how at 1:25 he talks about modern cars being fuel efficient but they show a pic of a lamborghini :D

  • viejo larga la droga

  • "Concorde on Wheels" hahahahaha

  • it's an aquarium...

  • I lke it! Looks very cool!

  • wtf? give me a name!!!! how will I track your project????

  • future fucked up.....

  • makes me want to take a huge load on it.

  • its because the US is run by a bunch of oil hungry companies. The last thing that they want is trucks that burn less.

  • Comment removed

  • if thats what the future is i dont want to be in it

  • this shit sucks

  • a truck is less attractive then cars, i hate this show bunch dumb yuppies

  • Obviously never produced and a fail

  • i'd be a truck driver if the trucks looked like that

  • This guy knows his designing and everything but come on now.. I don't know about America but in Europe you could haul just a few pallets with that thing because of the length of the tractor. The trucks today are optimized for maximum loading capability so I think even though this is aerodynamically better and reduces the drag and gives better fuel economy alone and so on, you'd have to make thrice the trips to get all the cargo where it needs to be. That's pretty inefficient. Fuckinawsumguydoe

  • Looks ugly..... nuff said. Come back if you iinvented a new one plz

  • ZE HULE THING SWIFFULZ!

  • what if you invent one vehicle that would pull many trailers behind it across country you could call it a train

  • you can call it k-coza

  • Typical Physicist. "This is the absolute best solution ever." Yeah that is why no one has one and no one wants to pay for it.

  • I love the comments. Bunch of retards who have no idea how prototyping and R&D works.

  • how the fuck are you gonna put snow chains on the tires? stupid design

  • 'MORE THAN 50%' .... LMAO

  • ''MORE THAN 50%'' .... LMAO

  • ''MORE THAN 50%'' .... LMAO

  • try to park that thing..

  • ....i think this one can blend...

  • Just Ugly. I like the older cars and Trucks better.

  • a joystick really? okay then if you want to cut reaction time by 80% and increase confusion by 90, joysticks shouldn't be for vehicles exceeding 40km/hr,

  • penis on wheels

  • What a load of shit. The future looks shit.

  • @KEV2K9100 this is what YOU americans FUCKING DID.

with your fucking dumbshit hummers and mass consumption of oil for your RETARDED MILITARY

FUCK OFF SHOVE A STICK UP YOUR ASS

  • @KEV2K9100 the shit is now, and the way we are polluting...better ugly than more cancerogen!

  • arnold voice!!! :)

  • Defiantly a step in the right direction

  • ... how the hell did i get to this video?

  • I don't think there is much though put into the safety aspect .A lot of trucks experience roll over when they leave the highway.I don't think the driver would have any chance .

  • aerodynamics is important, but that thing is just to retarded. looks like he watched star wars and a F1 race and decided to try and build a semi.

  • Im sure the dude presentingvthis clip is from the AVIVA COMMERCIALS(ads)..hongkong(PAUL WHITEHOUSE)

  • nice bullet-cargo-porter lol , described by the mad scientist ;) .but nice and different.

  • the problem is on the business end....people want to drive boxy vehicles. They dont want to make money if it means driving a futuristic vehicle. Honey Im home!!! FUCK YOU BITCH, you spent all that money so you can cruise across the states in an old school truck?

  • Well, that's some extreme claims. I find them a little dubious though. Trucks don't travel fast enough for aerodynamics to be a significant fraction of their efficiency. Aerodynamic drag only starts to be relevant at high speeds. Which is fast trains have complicated curved noses, but slower ones just tend to be boxes on wheels... It's a wasted effort at low speeds.

  • aero dynamics is a constant.....it gets better and better as you pick up speed. What is this business about aerodynamics being RELEVANT AT HIGH SPEEDS? WTF is that dude? For your info, trucks will be complying to the new efficiency rules within 10 yrs - if you cant make a box do that then you are out of the truck business.

  • Check out the new 2013 Silverado....Chevy says the design is going to significantly improve on fuel economy. THIS is only the beginning. The next gen is going to look radical.

  • @Quartz482 OK, seriously, how can you not grasp a straight-forward statement. Aerodynamic drag is proportional to the square of velocity. Therefore, if you double the speed something travels at, the drag is quadrupled. At low speeds aerodynamic drag is negligible, and things such as rolling friction and transmission losses dominate. Learn some physics before you start implying I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • All you did was parrot what I just said...that the benefit of an aerodynamic design is constant and that it gets better as you accelerate. YOU then said the aerodynamic design is NEGLIGIBLE at low speed. Neglible is a great improvement from IRRELEVANT AS YOU put it in your original post. Your cut and paste expedition helped you shoot yourself in the foot...i didnt have to say anything.

  • ...and btw, trucks that hit the highways in the USA travel at 70mph on average - that is 112kph. Those speeds for long haul trucking is going to save tens of thousands of dollars to the operator. They werent gonna use the rig to deliver a pizza pie.

  • @Quartz482 Right... Which is why railway engineers in the 1930's came to the conclusion aerodynamics doesn't matter much until you get above 100mph. But hey, tha's trains. I'm sure the design of a truck must follow totally different principles right?

  • @Quartz482 OK. I get it now. You're a troll. Go back and read my first comment, then tell me who's parroting whom. I said 'it's only relevant at high speeds'. Which is pretty much identical to saying it's of 'negligible significance' at low speeds. What the hell are you even arguing semantic nonsense for? Great job making yourself look like an idiot with your asinine accusations. My original statement and my second one say the same thing! So, again, who is copying who here? Hmm?

  • @KuraIthys OMG, dude, this is grade 8 sience. NEGLIBIBLE VS IRRELEVANT ARE TWO DIFFERENT WORDS. And no you can not be "pretty much" pregnant...you either are or not. Semantics is everything when it comes to politicians and people who want trash new technology and they have no ammo to do so.

  • @Quartz482 I never used the word irrelevant though did I? And from an engineering point of view, the two are much the same, because if something makes a negligible contribution to efficiency, it's a waste of effort designing for it. Especially when there are other factors that have a much bigger impact. Negligible, to an engineer, is a factor that isn't worth considering. So... It's 'only relevant at high speeds', because it's not worth the time & effort otherwise.

  • UFO's in london got me here!

  • I've been a truck driver since I was 18, and learned when i was 10, if my boss came to me and said, "This is your new truck." I'd say, "Today is my last day, I'll never drive shit like that, it's bad enough that they make automatic transmissions on trucks, now this is what's next?"

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger is the professor of fluid motion...

  • The cab is to long. To hard to get in. To hard to work on. to much glass. to hot to stay in. Want interchange with other trailers. And to high to buy. And on the road it will not hold up.

  • LMAO I fill sorry for the company driver that drives that down the road,he will be the laughing stock on the big road LOL

  • 2:15 this truck is so ugly it just get a ticket for having that shape

  • So if most big trucks get 6mpg, he is saying his Million dollar truck gets 9 mpg. Better own that truck for about 20 years to make up the difference of a $125K truck. Just like electric cars, pay $5k more than a gas equivalent, your never saving any money, just fuel for some asshole with a H2 to buy.

  • i dont give a rats ass about fuel economy when it comes to driving a truck, if i want to drive, ill drive a REAL truck, not those fucking blobs of play-doh theyre calling "trucks"

  • you cant take that shit into the city!!!! you need to be a true truck driver to understand our needs!!!!

  • man in white sounds a bit tipsy, could this idea come about while he was drunk? Lol

  • grils will not model with this peas of shit

  • I could think of some things that could happen to him up there...

  • good luck when it crashes and you have to repair it.

  • BURN THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

  • @mindexas123456 Well Said

  • Why do all "Future cars" have to be all curvy and shit and have fancy doors and shit?

  • when will he sell them 'Last' year?

  • 1:05 the professor of fluid motion himself is Jesus/Einstein?!?

    that makes perfect sense, actually.

  • its over 50% !!!

  • Well theres a reason why trucks look the way they do today..... EVERYONE LOVES THE TRADITIONAL LOOK OF A PETERBILT OR A KENWORTH..... If I we're to ask you to draw a picture of a truck, it would be a box, with a stack on the side or the back...

  • @Matthew3777 It's okay friend, there's no need to fear change.

  • I hate concept vehicles. It's nothing to do with practicality, and all about flash. Trucks are all about cost effectiveness. You need to maintain maximum capacity, both in volume and weight, while maintaining good visibility and maximum maneuverability in tight places. This concept offers none of that. There is a reason today's trucks have evolved to their current configuration.

  • @rreidnauer you are the only one who says the right thing and no one likes your comment... poor mankind.

  • for a million dollars, you'd think they'd come up with something more practical. someone likes to spend money!!

  • i saw something like this once. now, where was it? oh yeah, Thunderbirds!

  • i,m glad this guy was,nt given the job of improving humans =Frankenstein

  • ''Light trucks''? They weigh 2.2t! wtf

  • @toyotaprius79 compared to 40 tons it's a feather

  • with tis design the truck concentp will be ruined. planes for trucks hah. They should not nee to travel with 600km/h

  • imagine getting hit by that, youde have youre head sliced in half

  • This guy looks and talks like a stereotypical mad scientist LOL

  • Anyone that thinks that this is the way of the future for trucks...hasn't done any real trucking and doesn't understand the industry and the logistical hassles of the road.

  • so is the logic of the future to bend metal into stupid shapes as much as possible, good luck mass producing this bullshit.

  • @20cFilmWannabe by the time its ready for production, nanobots will assemble it precise to the atom in no time, using scrap material

  • @PlebScrubber in that case fine. but they're still ugly as hell IMO

  • @20cFilmWannabe i was just about to say imagine the cost of mass producing this machine lol. also replacing a window or door would be over priced too

  • @samduffield i know, plus there ugly as well.

  • @20cFilmWannabe it is very simple to mass produce metal in just about any shape. Mass producing this really won't be a problem. Yes, the initial costs will be high ... but that is the same for cars, boats, planes, trains etc etc.

  • @20cFilmWannabe your an idiot, "stupid shapes" will be more AERODYNAMIC shapes. ask any trucker around and I bet you that if they could have a more aerodynamic truck, they would. more aearodynamic trucks will mean cheaper costs for products as the cost of transport decreases, not to mention less delay on highways caused by "slow" trucks of today, as well a number of other benefits.

  • i hate the look of these trucks

  • @trayvonguesby yeah but its functional, not for looks... half the fuel cost,

    rising oil prices

  • @PlebScrubber good point but what about mass production of it... thats when expense runs in

  • oooooo don't touch the engine ;)

  • @DipKingalot i touched the engine.... Teeheeheehee ;-p

  • captain price if he was a mental

  • I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the customer hears the cost of a new windscreen.

  • @MrBing013 ever heard of transparent memory metal that can re-bend to its original form when an electric current runs over it

    get with the times man

  • all ther new trucks r ugly pieces of shit

  • I am ammused that the mojarity of short sighted dead shit comments seem to be from truck drivers. Know what I mean...?

  • I'm sure the amount of weight a truck is designed to haul has more impact on it's fuel efficiency than it's aerodynamic efficiency

  • Ugly and no comfort with that small space at all. NO WAY

  • no way im staying with mack I MEAN LOOK NO ROOM FOR BULL BARS

  • and?

  • Truckers like to decorate their rigs, you know like the big chrome stacks and huge bumpers.I would like to be a truck driver and I pray they won't bring that over here because that truck made my eyeballs throw up. trucks from 1985-present look best. I want to see Petes KW,s and freightliners.

  • great ideas and ingnuity usually comes from wacky types like this guy...No matter what u think..the fact that most trucks consume enuf fuel in one year to pay for another truck...why wouldnt he be considered..

  • I would like to see it actually pull something. or, at least drive

  • @FnForteUP just youtube search for Luigi Colani trucks, plenty on here pulling trailers

  • i will kill myself

  • I would like to c u maneuver that in new York city!!!!

  • @Plaaliss true its hard enough to maneuver in big cities as it is now they want to give us this wannbe trucks if we start driving these things I will hand in my cdl.

  • Comment removed

  • there horriable and im from the uk and u wouldn't see me dead in that

  • Where is it now?

  • were would he be in a accipendt in thatbird aka truck i now dead\

  • I could probably buy 5 regular Semi's with its cost, tow more stuff, and have a better consumption/dollar. He should rather research on how to make his toys cheaper.

  • what is the song that plays at 4:35?

  • 50%? holy shit! who cares what it looks like!

  • "Hey guys, lets put a glode right in front of the camera that will be badass!"

  • It's the Bullet truck!! lol

  • this is a german guy...

  • What a piece of shit. This is what you get when someone designs a truck, who has never driven a truck.

  • 1:50 this machine is super HORRIBLE , we call IT SUCKS !

  • Yeah its streamlined but its also completely impracticable. Where are the fog lights for driving at night and wheres the bull bar to stop roos or cows coming through the windscreen when you hit them at 120km/h? where are the rear view mirrors, and where is the spacious sleeper so drivers can actually survive being out on the road for weeks at a time. The list of basic but necessarily features this truck is missing is endless and if you added them it would just become a normal truck again.

  • I got a title for you (stupid and retorted)

  • @liltrucker10 It's spelled "Retarded"...retard.

  • wow thats ugly

  • how would he approach motorhomes and motorcoaches from his own idea of aerodynamics?

  • First of all, his concord on wheels is even bigger than the normal concord!

    Second of all, its ugly.

  • This Guy is a moron! you would only sell this in America or the out back where the roads would take this size. Can anyone honestly say that you'd get this down a normal UK street? Answers to ze cray german

  • What's his name, i need it please

  • It's not even fuel efficient at all, his truck requires a 500bhp diesel engine to move it and can only do 13mpg. This guy is not at all intelligent, just rich and crazy. If you want fuel efficiency, go to VW and ask them to make you an XL1, 313mpg...

  • @Coffeemonkey07 you base your assumption on..? the talk of this docu is aerodynamics, he mentions that nothing was done to the engines. stop having gay ass logic.

  • wow, he so pragmatic

  • @dOcOlb "unfortunately in this world the dignity don`t pay bills" that was painful yet true.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is fucking crazy

  • i thought einstien was a scientist

  • Im sure it will be very fuel efficient, but what will the safety numbers be. Looks like any crash will result in serious injury. My life is worth more than any amount i could save in fuel. its just like newer cars are about 15 times less safe than the older heavier cars.

  • @Roadman4you that is just stupid cars now are far safer than they have been. silly comment

  • grandpa teaches with finger! :))))

  • looks like the idea came from the Highway man series of the 80s....

  • i will not drive onea his faggot ass trucks

  • Umm.. rigs still need to make turns. This doesn't look like its worth a damn in that department..

  • good job

  • This is good, but will it blend?

  • Because truck companies are going to spend their entire yearly earnings on 2 trucks... just to go to the same place at the same speed.

  • @cameronoadamison1996 but a little less gas

  • future trucks suck balls

  • I am a day trucker...in and out of my cab all day... city, highway and rural driving. This is...ok a new idea...but I think I would fall asleep at the wheel in this truck. I don't recline that much at home in my easy chair! With a big payload a driver needs to be in a more reactive position while driving...plus reclined I would have coffee , chili beans, fried chicken and who knows what staines all over my Packers t-shirt. Back to the drawing board.

  • fifteen persent! do you hear me?
