I think Jimmy's call for a higher line is right and wrong - on one hand, we got burnt so much because we played a high line, and Mexico had plenty of pace, while we had none. On the other hand, pressing a bit higher up the field may have disrupted the flow of Mexico's smooth passing game, although playing high up the field and pressing aren't always associated. Still, we got beaten for pace way to often, and maybe playing deeper would have been the key there.
Conrad has some good insight into the US nat team BUT it's tough defending the US from Europeans who think we know nothing about football when there are so many US players, journalists thinking there's some relationship between a country's soccer league ranking and their United Nations ranking. Turkish league has a top 10 UEFA ranking. (Freddy is in 2nd div.) Adu's stops at Portugal, Greece, France are ranked even higher. It's unlikely MLS would be in UEFA top 10.
Love how Conrad takes a shot at the Turkish league. Last time I checked, Jimmy couldn't make it in Europe, and when he did play in Europe, he played in Poland. But failed miserably.
I'd prefer my son develop in Europe.

Is this a joke? I hope so. I can give you at least 10 reasons right off the top off my head why I wouldn't compare him to Ronaldo.

This is correct. But keep in mind Freddy plays in the Turkish 2ND Division. Not the 1st.

The US turkish league is wayyyy ahead of the MLS, i doubt any MLS team would go far in the champions league

Leave Adu alone, he's only 21, he will be fine.
