You are crazy. Chimps have the upper body strengh of over six men and they don't hesitate in killing for whatever reasons. Lots of people who owned chimps ended up having their faces and testicles removed. Chimps routinely go on raids against other chimps and kill all of the males and rape the females.

@Ericbranson3 You can "foster" gorillas, orangutans, and chimps through various organizations that work to save the great apes & rescue orphans. Part of the reason the gentle gorillas and orangutans are endangered is that people kill the parents and steal the babies for the illegal pet trade. Wild animals don't make good pets, and it is also a miserable life for them. Please consider a virtual adoption!
