This shows how a few Americans –and some Ticos- from the Leatherback Trust had made their living collecting money to presumably protect the leatherbacks that still manage to arrive to playa Grande National Park. They should be ashamed of their business and start seeking work like everyone else. When that people start protecting the turtles -as they said - the number of leatherbacks arriving were up to 2000 per season; today no more than 30 are counted.
My daughter went on a 2.5 week Uvolunteer trip earlier this year (April/May 2011) and the only way I could accurately described her experience would be Dangerous! She was robbed in her room of all her possesions while sleeping. She contacted Uvolunteer's only to find out they were not going to do anything, Who knows what could have happened they did not keep our 18 yr old daughter safe, here screen was cut she souild have been sexually assaulted or worse yet kidnapped and or killed!
