  • @MWOObserver I just realized that the distance is about 5 seconds into the video :p

    Thanks for the response anyway.

  • @Ricktard1010 You're welcome! We even forgot that it was in the video :-)

  • About how many miles away is the Atlantic from the mountain?

  • @Ricktard1010 The Atlantic coast at Portland, ME is about 65 miles away.

  • I can see my sisters house from here...

  • Wow!!!

    Incredible!

I think the fog and the mountain make the scene/view extra beautiful.

  • That was it .I have been lucky enough to witness this.

  • Incredible!

I remember my parents taking me there 9 years ago when I was 11 years old..it was something I'll never forget, going up Mount Washington..wish I could have seen something like this! Way to go!

  • I saw Mt Washington yesterday, as we departed at 0900 for London, out of BOS Logan

  • Sorry, just *where* was the ocean?? It would have been nice to STOP panning for a second or so. Also, the extreme telephoto view .. looks like that may have been "helped" with your editing program (ie. not totally optical zoom)

  • @n1jdu As stated in the description for our video, the ocean can be easily distinguished by the golden that the water takes on, created by the suns reflection off the water.

  • @n1jdu Additionally, I assure you that the closeup view of the coastline (or extreme telephoto as you refer to it) is indeed entirely optical zoom. This video was created using a Sony HDV camcorder, Handycam HDR- FX7 model to be exact, with a 20x optical zoom. You can look up the specs for yourself. I can also assure you that only basic editing was done to this video (i.e. iMovie).

  • @n1jdu Wolf's Neck SP in Freeport? Check. Portland and Back Cove? Check. Yeah, pretty sure you can see the Maine shoreline right *there* in the video.

  • Absolutely beautiful view!

  • ‎!Very Good! thanks for the 1080p tip on your FaceBook page... Even better if you go direct to the YouTube link and click 1080p & PopOut/Full Screen too!!

    !!!Glorious!!!

  • HOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
