i respect the fact that traditionally in your country, 6 y.o is ok for pointes. but in all honesty i would be too afraid to ever let a child en pointe before at least 8. theres too many chances that she will want to play around or do something that could severly hurt her while en pointe at that age. but i must say, she IS extremely well en pointe. i hope someday that i might be able to watch her dance live on stage. best of wishes.

@zyanvertizm You are not right - she has a full control ect. You are not right in America way - small children can do more that you can imagine. Look on the figure skaiters - they start at 3-4 years old! And ballet dancers will be better if they will start earlier. It's a nonsens, that pupils can not to be on points till 10-13. Nothing happend, if they start earlier, if they strong enogh and trained enogh

Yeah, they used to start dancers on pointe work at that age when my grandma was a little girl in the 1920s ... that's why girls from the Ballet Russe (and less exalted companies like my great-aunt's) were literally crippled by the time they 30 - where the stereotype of the ballet teacher with her cane or wheelchair came from. Hope that little girl's parents/ teachers are happy - doesn't she look thrilled herself?

I am usually not a big fan of putting young children on pointe, but Lada is the exception in my book. she is incredibly talented, more technically skilled and naturally graceful than many adult dancers! Very beautiful at such a young age!

There is a rehearsal of ballet " Snow queen ". It is a fragment - "children on a skating rink". This is a role of little girl who learns to drive on figured skates. When she specially falls, she cries so is conceived on a role.
