Unfortunately by most definitions McIlroy now has the label of one of the greatest chokes. Leading the Masters by 4 strokes at the start of the last day, he finishes 10 shots behind the leader in T15. Furthermore he shot 8 over, the worst score of the day and also 7 shots worse than his average score for the course.
Unfortunately he's not alone, theres a trend recently for leaders to play badly in the 4th round of majors (ie. Watney, Johnson, Norman, Baddeley, Goosen). So its not uncommon
All class is Greg nothing but, fuck golf , he doesn't need it any more made his fortune and now is that wealthy he doesn't need to worry about it any more. He was the World No1 for 2 years, very unlucky in 2 majors , fucked up bad in the Masters which he admits, shit happen Mize pulls a shot outs of his arse and Greg ends up 2nd.
Nice man, Greg Norman. Rude person here (by far) is the cheap interviewer. Greg had some dreadful luck as a golfer and maybe didn't have the same killer instinct as others, but a lot more talent. Still, people aren't stupid, we all realise Greg Norman is bigger and more charismatic than Larry Mize. For choker read 'human'.

We need a real paparazzi to sort this Shark character out.
Golf is the lazy man's sport, anyway.
I play ice hockey, but it isn't violent enough. There isn't a "referee and two linesmen" on the street, where it's us versus those stupid scumbag celebrities.
Here's one suggestion for Rude (if any of you know him, pass it along, please): It's more important to mike the guy you're interviewing than it is to mike yourself. If the entire interview is full of loud booming comments from you, and it's harder to hear the star you're interviewing, that's not so good.
And oh-by-the-way: Norman shot 77 on Saturday at the Open. One might expect some ring rust on a guy who hasn't competed much for several years, true. But who shot the same or worse on Sunday? Just guys like Choi and Garcia, that's all. And he beat...let's see, Furyk, Els, Scott, Mickelson, Goosen, Appleby, Choi, Garcia, Westwood, Cink, Ogilvy, and Singh, among a ton of others.
Anybody who uses the word "choker" to apply to Greg Norman is clueless about competitive golf.
"Choker." Right. All he did was play one of the greatest final rounds ever (at the '93 Open), and then there was that final-round 64 at the other Open he won. He come back from ridiculous, lucky-ass defeat after defeat to keep competing and winning. Every great professional has had some notable defeats. But Norman's resiliency was amazing.
Anybody who calls him a choker is invited to plunk the money down and play him anytime.
@NASAvsPETE Speaking from experience? Did you enjoy it then?

@elnocho3 How old is Rory? Where does the U.S. open and associated records fit into your 'choker' label now?
Nautilus1972 6 months ago
@Nautilus1972 - Read again, i purposely didn't say 'choker' i said 'choke'. I think the reaction to his masters choke is a sign of his character

Interviewer is really full of himself. Yuck. Won't be watching anymore of these videos. Peace.

Norman was a crapppy step father who needs to apologize to Chris's kids. What kind a man stabs his best friend in the back/
criticalgal 2 years ago
@criticalgal You'd be surprised. It doesn't take much to stab some one in the back.

@emncaity Hehe yep, i saw him shoot 62 at doral, THEN he made an eagle to win a 4 way playoff. Anyone done that in the last 10 years? nope. legend.

@emncaity Greg was great. For Choker, read 'Peyton Manning'.

I've always admired Greg, he's got a lot of class. I really hoped he'd win his 3rd Open, but it wasn't to be.
