No im not really a believer in hyundai either, that is until i sat in one at the car show. This thing basically has the most comfortable interior ever there like temperpedic seats and the fit and finish is on par with a benz as far as sound system, the solid sound when you shut the doors and even the leather stitched interior is just superb.

Well, that's relative at all: The problem with Hyundai is basically 'non-innovation'; if you the engine is just a 'old' engine without anything to do in front any other engine of another brand; I mean: If I buy a car and I can pay it, I would buy a car which improves the current technology and they don't; even the variable distribution of those engines are too old (that's why the comsuption is high)., but the price is not just because of 'brand', but quality of product.

To be frank, I even couldn't compare a Hyundai with a Lexus or Mercedes. Hyundai doesn't do anything to innovate, and they try to compare the car with others... that's not realistic at all. Staying true to their commitment, affordable and quality. Maybe one day soon Hyundai will venture out on unique styling. If I had the money I'd skip the Japanese luxury and go straight for the German engineering. If money is an option I'd still skip the Japanese and get the brand that charges what Japanese cars used to charge for affordable quality.

if u no-one knows how far korea has come, ill tell you. the korean war ended in 1954, so in 60 odd years, it has come this far, from scratch, starting from nothing. For japan however even though some say they were destryed by the A-bomb in '45 they still had the know how and technology, where as Korea had none. Korea is not the best, but to be regarded as one of the Three giants of Asia, and stunning companies like LG and Samsung,( who built the rotating hotel in Dubai) they are doing very well

lol, im sorry but i never seen a focus make it to 200,000 miles with out it having alot of problems on the way. its a Ford! i worked for ford and let me tell you we used to get alot of focus with major problems, some with blown engines or bad heads with very low miles, if you get 200k on a focus with no issues then your lucky.

i seen alot of old elantras with over 200,000 miles still running strong. Im not going to say the elantra is the best but, it is much better than a focus.

That is not about if they copy or not, it is about getting more tech inside, improving what others invented, and offer more car for less price possible, without compromising the quality and safety, and that's something Hyundai knows how to handle very well. Yes, I do!...because I have seen many Hyundais like Sonatas and Elantras with 10 years and running good. Two days ago I was looking at a 2000 Tiburon, it was in very good shape, the engine was running like new and the actual body was very nice. If we take in consideration that an old model from Hyundai, created before their brand reimage and improvment has lasted 8 years and is still running like new, we can expect much more from the new and all comming models.

I really like the Genesis sedan. Sure, it might have anonymous styling, but it still looks good. I'd be proud to drive this car and tell people it's a Hyundai when they ask. My gripes with the car at this point are visual since I havn't driven one yet. I hate the gaudy front grill. The concept grill fit much better visually. I don't like those alloy wheels either. Reddish-brown dash/door trim with black? Ugly! Dark brown with a tan interior would be classy. Some really odd choices by Hyundai.

Quite good? It's amazing. Last year, I bought my second Hyundai (Santa Fe) Limited.  I'm sold on Hyundai now. It's funny and sad that I literally did what they did in the commercial, in that I mistook my Santa Fe for a Lexus RX330 - Whoops. Pretty embarrassing - given a woman was in the passenger seat, freaking out as I tried to open the door *halo*

v6 could be better, hyundai made the gear shifting ratio lower in contrast to the v6 which has a higher gear shifting ratio (.5 more i think) so the v6 shifts a bit later which makes the v6 not much slower albeit its lower horesepower. i think this was to keep the fuel economy good on the v8
