Such vapid dismissal. Even if his god does exist, it has no bearing upon the moral structure derived from the biological and social development of humanity. The subjective views of his god are not objective to us, by virtue of might is right.
This is absurdly wrong, in the sense that it doesn't even properly address the question in the affirmative or the negative. Such empty rhetoric.
I greatly appreciate Dr. Craig's simple (but not simplistic), straightforward and rational approach to this issue. I find myself quite in agreement with what he is saying in this clip. Thank you One Minute Apologist -- and Dr. Craig!
Morals are the result of the conscious order of life striving to reconcile with its own nature. Social conditioning comes into it only in a small way. If anything morality points to a deep unity of conscience and purpose behind all life. It gives us a deep sense of relationship. Compassion allows us comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone in our suffering and that ALL of life is our kin. Craig's casual dismissal of humanity's spiritual core is really quite astounding.
