hermosa. la escucharía un millón de veces!! pero lástima que los nazis se la apropiaran en los años de la 2a GM y la mostaran como suya entre el 1939 y 45. De todos modos es música clásica y es una canción tradicional austriaca bellísima. De otra parte, dicen algunos q esta canción aunque fue compuesta por Strauss en 1848 se basó en ritmos de 1800-15 durante las guerras napoleónicas, pues dicen se inspiró en las marchas de la infantería austrorusa en Austerlitz y Ulm. será verdad?

Attended a funeral of a very good friend of mine today and this was played as the cortege entered Crematorium. A rousing send off to start the service.

Esta es una marcha increíble. Cuando era redoblante en la banda, me encantaba tocar esta marcha, debido a su complejidad para poder soltar las manos y tocarla a un pulso rápido.
Lo que no me gusta de la versión clásica, es que aplauden mientras tocan y como yo me acostumbré a la versión militar, no comparto que interrumpan.
