Yes, I remember that!!. Do you remember that late 80's T.V advert which had Jack Buchanan (?) singing 'Everything Stops for Tea'?. It was half animated.
Yes i remember that too ,and one that would come on at the cinema with "The sun has got his hat on"i think by Ambrose.Hyltons "Happy Feet" was used for one once too.
I loved the "dove"advert that used a 20s version of this tune.I remember when age 10 or so waiting by the tv with a tape recorder waiting for an advert using"we are the ovalteenies" to come on!!!
I listened lately the Ben Berlin Orchestra version of this song. My personal opinion is that the Ambrose's version is very good but... Ben Berlin's version is a little bit better.
Thanks so much for that...I am putting an ice skating program to this.

The purple Ambroses are rarer than rare. I did have a copy of this one once, as a white label test, but had to sell it.

Yes! I taped that tune from the dove advert a few years ago. I always wondered which band played it.
This is a great version, which I've never heard!

Ambrose really is so extraordinary, I think even his worst record is still good. Very fine recording quality too.

@mic33george I agree with you... almost. But the Ben Berlin's version is a little bit better :)

Almost sounds like Van Phillips, 'Go home and tell your Mother', for a while at the begining or is it me?
