  • is this good for gaining mass?

  • @danieltij3 yer it is, if your a beginner do about 10 reps. it's good cause it's basically similar to bench press/ dumbbell press.

  • @dar1e08 Why you hating?

  • @wwechamp7

    I'm a fetus and I can bench 700 pounds.

  • im 15 and i can do 80kg, i only wiegh 55kg myslef been training since i was 13 :)

  • @impactkidftw no never ever you chest press 80 kg . dont talk shit buddy

  • @reinhjan94 I'm 15 and do almost 70 kg after 4 months of training. It's logical.

  • I like this exercise.

  • DOES DIS WORK ON UPER CHEST, SIDE, LOWER CHEST

  • hello

  • I'm 15 and can do 170, but I weigh like 260

  • I use the pipe weight that does not build my chest. i do it at home. dont see any result exerpt my muscle and my sholder

  • Thank you for nice explanation.

  • so im the best here

i am 5 years old and i can chest press 17000 lbs

  • im 11 and i chest press 350 ;D

  • im 14 and i chest press 150 ;D

  • its been almost a year iv been doing gym nd recently iv noticed my left chest is getting bigger than my right one. Plz advise what i should be doing? oh yeah im right handed by the way, so it requires me to push a bit extra from the left.

  • you not suppose to do 12-15 reps when you training to gain mass or strength

    thats endurance...

  • @VampirePrinc3 My routine is keep doing it until I can get 3x12 in good form. Then I try and go up to 3x15. Then I repeat for 3x12 with a weight 5lb higher... The weight is increasing, so...

  • @VampirePrinc3 12 - 15 reps will still put on mass and make you look more muscular but you're right it won't help you with strength.

  • should you work out ech muscle once a week or twice?

  • lock the elbow, don't forget, lol

  • "dont lock your elbows"

    *locks elbows*

  • I'm 23 and have been training for about 6months and can chest press 10 reps x 2 sets of 100kg (220lbs). I weigh 70kgs.

  • @richienrg Cool, I started 70lbs this April, up to 120lbs, 3 sets 12 reps, my body weight is 120.

  • HOW MUCH WEIGHT DO U RECOMEND? LIKE I DONT KNOW TO HOW MUCH WAIT TO START

  • @Ruta809 Just try some weights till your comfortable with it :)

  • my max rep is 187lbs and im 14 so i think a 14 year old who exercises a lot should be able to lift about more than 200lbs coz all i do is push ups i dont go to the gym often

  • @PapaRoachGeezer Lie more ? thats about 85 kg and probably like double ur body weight..

  • @NoDoubtsss no i can lift 187 pounds on a chest press and my weight is 120 pounds. Im not lieing, I do loads of push ups.

  • Comment removed

  • @PapaRoachGeezer Yeah, no one belives you, go home...- _ -

  • @slim240293 oh sorry guys i meant 185lbs not kg

  • kickmeout, why dont you try it, try to do 6000 lbs

  • machines - guys with clitorious

bench press and dumbbells real men

  • @DrewBreesMVP9 NONONO.

Bench press and dumbells - bodybuilders.

Olympic lifting and kettlebells - real men.

  • this guy is a goof

  • thax man now i now how 2 use using the chest press manchine

  • And to many people out there. There are many types of chest press machines that do not have the Function of the feet to help the trainer get into his stance... So you can still grab it and continue normaly this guy is just a douche.

  • whats gonna happen is someone will take in this info and apply it at the gym n an instructor will say ur doing it wrong n they will think what a nob this guy is . haha

  • Stop locking your elbows out, God dammit!

Who the hell teaches these people how to teach others?

  • this man is hot!

  • Dude's position is too high...

  • this guy isnt even doing it right.

he tells us not to lock our elbows.

    but he keeps locking them..

  • @samininy i was wondering why he keeps locking his elbows...

  • dont want to lock joints but he keeps locking his elbows :S

  • i used to do this machine when i started gym, now i do benh press on smith machine, but sumtimes i do go back to this machine just to add a change to my routine, i been going gym 4-5 months now i can bench 55kg now , when started i could only do 15kg haha , i love weightlifting i enjoy it alot peace

  • u could only bench 15kg? wtf...the bar weights 10kg

  • 15kg each side. im doing free weight now, upto 35 a side and can do same for dumbells. the bar i use is 20kg , cheers

  • for me I dont like to use realy heavy weight on chest press like I would bench press even I was going heavy that day.

  • WRONG TECHNIQUE. Your position on the machine was all wrong, you were seated too low and even more worryingly your hands were wrongly positioned with your wrists too low and your knuckles facing upwards instead of forwards. Terrible demo.

  • yeh man too low, hes like doing incline almost haha, bars gotta b in line with your chest, fist inline with nipple i was told, same with bench press. , hes a mug this guy haha peace

  • thanks this really helped me.

  • But, I really recomend that if you are just starting, then first do it with the Chest press. After you feel very comfortable with it, pass on to the Bench press Machine which will help you get an idea of the movement. Then, go to the bench press.

    Sincerely, Jean P

  • Hey technosailer......The advatange of the chest press machin is that it help you stabilize and develop the chest symmetrically since with the Bench press you might lower one side of the bar first or you might have the bar twisted or even maybe you might not be able to lift the weaker side if you have any....Now, the advantage of the bench press is that you have to put more force to it since your the one that has to stabilize the bar and you have to control the weight.

  • at the gym i go to there is not sufficient equipment to do a bench press but there is a chest press machine. is the chest press machine the same as doing a bench press and do you get the same results?

  • @techn0sailer No, all machines are crap. Period. That includes the smith machine!

  • dont waste your time with a chest press machine

  • it/s way easier on the machine than it is with barbell or free weights, the angle is different, thus its easier

  • @eqilibrium It's not meant to be easier, it's a workout. Stick with the barbell and free weights

  • dis guy is a dumass cuz hes locking his arms when he says not too

  • LOL he looks like he's locking his elbows... am I the only one who sees that?

  • i totally see it, i mean, i guess he's not, but yeah :P

  • i think he's locking the elbows at the half of the movement, not at the end of the movement

  • Kind of off the path here..Are doing negatives important ? I see people skip negatives ,they tell me they feel stronger because they can do more reps by skipping the negs..

  • I do 80 on this its goood

  • is this the same as benching, i know they work the same muscles, but say you do 100kg on a chess press would you be able to do it on the bench?

  • I cant i can do alot more on the chests press than if i was to bench press i think its because your on a fixed movement from the machine you dont have to steady the bar as you bring it up,

for instance i can chest press 70ish but on the bench press i find it hard to go past 50.

but thats just me it could be diffrent for others,

    hope that helped

  • yer thanks, im hoping im lifting around the same because im trying to do my 100kg, i dont do it very often and im almost there ive been out of training for a while due to a strain, but when i get back ill be sure to take that into acount thanks for the help:)

  • When should you grip the vertical handles...and what difference does it make ??

  • injuries apparently. because in most of these vids, they show you theses ways for ur own safety, and so you can get the best outta the workout, without straining urself too much and stuff. thats what i think at least.

  • very good explanation.

  • where your feet go?

  • when i do it i hold the vertical handles instead of the horizontal ones.does that make a difference?

  • no, at 13 you should be chest pressing at least 950 lbs, i am 9 years old and 7 foot tall with 60 inch biceps and i chest press 6000 lbs.

  • @kickmeout1 why dont you try it, try to do 6000 lbs, post a video of you doing it, no ididnt think so

  • @kickmeout1 WTF, omfg, your huge. it sounds like your lieing

  • @kickmeout1 im 2 years old and chest press 5000 lbs :)

  • @kickmeout1 Hey me too!

  • @kickmeout1

    L0L

  • @kickmeout1 why do you lie 60 inche bicepts are probaly the same height as you and if you can chest press 6000 lbs at 9 then your just stupid because its bad for you

  • Good video. Don't know if I would do them to build mass. I would do them, everynow and then, as a "finishing" exercise". Don't really like machines, as they don't allow you to work other important muscles used when pressing.

  • when you have your arms like that you can tear your pec

  • for the lower chest do chest dips or decline bench

  • seems like the only one who gives a shit is you...

  • oh yes lol

  • he says not to lock the elbows then does it himself on pretty much every rep..

  • DUDE I KNOW!! im like wtf!

  • @OzzieBo look at all the other videos... he is doing every excercise wrong ^^

  • @OzzieBo true
