Just like Jonas Kaufmann this guy is not a tenor but very authentic bariton. They cannot fool an opera lovers but just infuriating tthem. Why they want to be tenors if their voice can reach high notes. Stupidity!

@alexliliryan - I don't understand your comment This is a baritone role, Schrott is a baritone.  Jonas Kaufmann is a tenor and would not sing this role.

Hahaha the pause between the allegro & andante always tricks the eager audience into applauding! wouldnt be surprised if that was intentional by Mozart: "Oh you think its over? Well here's some more!"

That is what MOZART is all about!!!! Read the letters to get to know the person a little better before you judge the singer. Not only that he is talented, with incredible diction, beautiful voice and sexy outlook on top of it.... he understands Mozart completely. Much better then his wife( unfortunatelly)

I agree on everything you said - while singing he's really 'mozartian'! - but about the diction, that could be perfected:

he sings 'vechie' instead of 'vecchie' at 3:53, 'pica' instead of 'picca' (4:23), 'rica' instead of 'ricca' (4:26) etc etc...

In Italian (unlike German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese etc) consonant length is distinctive, therefore his diction is imperfect.
