To the people saying SEGA won't release the DVD: Yes they will - it's already confirmed. They just said that as an offhand comment to SeyrenLK which they later withdrew. The release date is confirmed as December 21st.
holy CRAP there's a lot of people there... all the clips I've seen never really gives you a good idea until you see how far back those glowsticks go... WOW!
i don't think this video is going to stop sega from making a DVD...because when sega does make a DVD of this, it is going to go on youtube anyway like all the other movies out there...
ATTENTION! sega's threatening that they wont release the DVD of mikunopolis due to these vids that wernt suppose to be filmed at the concert! PLEASE DELETE THIS VID FOR THE UNLUCKY FANS THAT COULDNT SHOW UP! THUMBS UP SO OTHERS CAN SEE AND SPREAD THE WORD!!!
@Xmuncher3250 It's like a little teaser for people who don't know what it was, and it gets people excited to go to the real concert. Like when I first went I didn't know who she was. I'm glad I got a chance to experience her live.
@Xmuncher3250 It's basically an abridged set list as 2010 Tokyo 39's Giving Day concert, with only about four new songs. So you're not really missing that much if you've already seen that concert.
As for me, I've pre-ordered my Blu-Ray of the 2011 concert that will be released on November 16th. Despite the crappy quality of the Tokyo concert, this release also includes the much better Sapporo concert with some new songs so I can't wait to see it!!
vocaloids are great. surprisingly simple to programm, they statisfy and entertain the community, and the makers dont have to give the concert money to the singer. AND it the character can be used for advertising once shes popular eneugh. good money campaign
@Kirrus stop being so greedy and please do the rest miku fans a favour, take it down. Who cares about views/how popular it is or whatever take it down so we could see it in good quality on our TV at home. Let me also remind you that the concert was SOLD OUT so all the fans that wanted to go but couldnt were probably waiting for the DVD/BD release sadly these kinds of videos wont allow that to happen. listen to the rest of the fans and please take it down.
@leonardo10350 (really, this is to everyone) SEGA is really only referring to the recordings of the live stream; the ones recorded with cameras in the press section where cameras are allowed are fine; just the recordings of the live stream are *technically* illegal.
Good for you that YOU went to the concert. Some of the less lucky people who WEREN'T fortunate enough to go to the concert would like a CD. What would get more fans, a DVD or a YT video? Not to say this isn't awesome and stuff, but still.
Of course, by not removing it you don't only prevent Sega from releasing the DVD/BD and make thousands of fans who desperately waited for an official release since the beginning really sad, but also no Blu-Ray release means that we'll never even get to see the concert in high-quality (HD) which was recorded but instead will be left with those low-quality livestream rips and shaky cameratapes from the audience.
@imi1nashi You know, This move from SEGA actually makes 0% business sense. Miku is only POPULAR because of Youtube and Nico. Reduced sales from possible lost sales due to youtube uploads and p2p sharing still makes more sense than no sales due to not releasing the DVD. I think SEGA are probably using this as a PR/Marketing stunt more than anything. The 39s Giving Day Concert is still selling like hot cakes regardless of the videos on youtube anyway...
@TheMacroBlock In addition, SEGA and AX also said there would be no Live-Stream of the LA concert at all lol, so take everything they say with a pinch of salt... it doesn't sound to me like the elbow knows what the ass is doing... if you get what I'm sayin'
Okay, I'm not sure where people heard that comment from Sega, but when I was at Comic-con 2 weeks ago, there were MULTIPLE official DVDs of Hatsune Miku concerts being sold by retailers, so nobody panic, DVD of this concert is coming or already out. Also without clips like this, none fans would never know exactly who she is, so I'm trying to spread fan awareness, and obviously it works.
@Kirrus It's true, there were DVD and Blu-Ray releases for the previous concerts, because that time there were no problems such as massive uploads of livestream rips and videotapes at all. This time however, those things have become a huge problem.
Details about Sega's comments to this can be found in my channel's description and on SeyrenLK's facebook page. If you want them to release a DVD/BD of the concert, please consider removing it. Maybe it's not too late yet.
I'm not sure if you have gotten this comment yet, but SEGA won't release a Blu-ray or DVD if these videos are uploaded. I don't really care, I got to see the concert, but for the love of other fans, do you think you could take it down? Sorry. This is probably annoying you, I don't mean to.
@Kirrus i really wanted to go TT_TT the closest iv every could have gotten to see miku live is in the usa, but i couldnt go since my parents didnt want me fly to Cali alone n my aunt couldnt take me cuz of work TT_TT
@HatsuneMikuOtaku during this concert, she says "I hope to see you all again soon" or something very similar to that. She's way too popular not to have another one.
@HatsuneMikuOtaku Extremely Unlikely. It was revealed that over 40% of vocaloid music sales come from north america, so the chances of more vocaloid events here is pretty good.
