htc hero has sense laid over the stock android so it has nicer look it has sense widgets its nicer but if i were you i would say get the mytouch because the hero unlocked does not have 3g you would be on edge...just go with the mytouch and root it then install a custom rom and it will run great

The chin is a unique physical aspect that HTC purposely puts on all their phones. They've mentioned that several times in their press conferences. I don't know if they're going to change it anytime soon. They claim that it allows them to place a trackerball in the phone easier. I know it can be very annoying though. I have a G1 and it sticks out like a sore thumb thanks to that "chin."
