  • this song is about tom, no it isn't.

  • this isnt a song about being emo. this is a metafor for when blink182 broke up. "slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful" - when mark travis and tom were all fighting and fucking up blink 182, "fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroyed"-blink falling apart and dissapointing there fans, "this isnt just goodbye this is i cant stand you"- blink breaking up and tom leaving.

its so dumb that people think this is some emo song. true fans know this shit

  • <3

  • this is +44 yet you put a picture of blink 182 in the middle of the video...why...

  • Let's slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful..

  • I cried at least the 10 first times I heard this song seeing how Mark and Tom's relationship turned and how Mark could be angry with Tom. I'm so glad they're back together !

  • Curse my enemies forever !!

  • How come he says (well from what i've seen on youtube) "Lay rotting where I fall

    I'm dead from bad intentions

    Suffocated and embalmed

And now all our dreams are cashed in

You swore you wouldn't lose then lost your brain

You make a sound that feels like pain"

at live shows only and not on the original.

In case some of you didn't notice, this last verse

is skipped out and the version of the song also leaves it out.

    Any answers?

  • @Chocolatemilkpassion I have no idea but i've looked around everywhere for a version that has that verse, I haven't found one yet and i was wondering the same thing.

  • @Elaina0907 I think the final verse is on a fullband version only

i found it on youtube but lost the link

    it's out there though :)

  • @Chocolatemilkpassion ww w.yo utube .com /w at ch ?v=_ c2 cY bI2Onc in case you wanted it.

  • @Chocolatemilkpassion This version is actually a demo version of the song. They put out their demos first (Lycanthrope and no it isn't), before they started touring (December 13, which just so happens to be Tom Delonge's birthday). There is also another version of the song which is on their album. The main difference between the two songs is that there is an extra verse (as you noticed), and mark hoppus does the back up vocals on the album when Carol Heller does it on the Demo version.

  • @buckeyeboyx5 I see. Thanks for the reply.

  • Curse my enemies forever !! :) like that

  • I'd man up, and go gay for Hoppus. (Y)

  • on wich date was it to buy?

  • oh my god!!!! i love the first pic!! i keep setting it to 0:00. and that is a shame for the song, and i can't find it anywhere:(. so could you pleas send it to me?

  • fantastica :')

  • there is no such thing as real music, everyone has their own opinions

  • This song got it's name so when idiots would ask if it's about Tom, Mark could say "No it isn't"

  • @kkeewiinn2 and then he admitted it was about him just before the release of the album.

  • heres is no doubt this song was somehow about tom/ blink

  • you are fucking emo

  • one of the most powerful songs of plus 44/ blink 182

  • @TheRustedBass

Why are you saying blink 182 this is plus 44. Yea mark and travis my be in it but this has nothing to do with blink . Besides the fact that it was meant for tom.

  • @TheRustedBass it's not blink, you can't say blink because there is no tom

  • its sorta suposed to be XD it is about a band spliting up

  • Comment removed

  • @JelloMannn This song has a meaning, you're obvously too retarded to listen and read between the lines, so you just assume that its some emo crying. You are a disgrace to real music.

  • By god... you're right James, I was wrong, I'd forgotten the true meaning of music, and I'm sorry to've disappointed you and the entire musical community of "real music." How could I possibly have been so dumb to not realize that cursing my enemies, slitting my wrists, and burning down beautiful things isn't a reference to coping with problems... listening now... I realize the true meaning of this song. I think I'll go cut myself to bring myself to full musical meaning potential and be like you.

  • @JelloMannn Kill yourself.

  • shit man, this is powerful stuff right here

  • awwhh i love this song :)!
