This was during the last of the eras and periods that had a feeling, that had its own identity, focus, and was not just another year or decade. By the late 90s, it was over and it continues to go downhill, sorry to say. A timeless show!

the show ended so quickly cause back in the 90s the show was really controversial (Ricki being gay, sex subject matter, drugs etc. So it was taken off air. ITs funny to think about if you think about all the shows that are on today. I wish My So Called Life went on for waaaaaaaaay longer, I loved this show.

Claire Danes wasn't comfortable with the filming schedule, and at such a young age, she didn't want her career to be trapped in one series drama, so she told them she didn't want to, she wanted to move on.
