Its interesting to see Crockett running Reunion Arena at that time. Of course, that was where World Class held their big Star Wars shows. Also, this was a few months after WCCW pulled out of the NWA which, along with the fact that the Von Erichs were so messed up, was one of the reasons they went downhill. Flair helped build the Kerry, Kevin and especially David into the biggest stars of that era and without the champ making his visits that took out one of the components of what made them.

A Flair-Rhodes match was the main event of this card, but it turned out RHODES defended the belt against FLAIR. This card was the night after Rhodes beat Flair for the NWA title at the Great American Bash card in Greensboro. Flair regained the belt in St. Louis a couple weeks later.
