I served from 97-00 and again 01-04 in the reserves, all Army. I didn't go or was sent, but was involved in 2 major mobilizations, that included getting all supplies, rifles, gas masks, and chem suits(MOPP) ready. I was one of only few soldiers at the time that was trained in various MOS's due to lateral training when I was on active duty. I reinjured my back doing so, but that didn't stop me one bit, for as long as my sodliers had their equipment.

That depends. If you are dealing with a system where the power is distributed equally than yes, however game theory would suggest that when you have the strategic advantage you needn't worry about that to impose the peace.

If four military contractors get murdered in Fallujah and then dragged through the streets in celebration and the subsequent response is to flatten the town into a pancake then the likelihood of getting shot at is minimal. Likewise, the probability of having "your other eye plucked out" in retaliation by the residents is also minimal.

As far as I know you can be for something or have an opinion and not have to be directly involved with it. You might be pro choice, well then the way you think a man should never have an opionion either way, so your argument does not hold up. What about people in congress they might not have military experience or served does that mean that they cannot vote on bills that can effect something that they are not directly involved in?

Beleive me, if there was a war worth fighting, I would be fighting it. Unfortunately, I don't see any british opressors or Nazi fascists anymore. I served from 97-00 and again 01-04 in the reserves, all Army. I didn't go or was sent, but was involved in 2 major mobilizations, that included getting all supplies, rifles, gas masks, and chem suits(MOPP) ready. I was one of only few soldiers at the time that was trained in various MOS's due to lateral training when I was on active duty. I reinjured my back doing so, but that didn't stop me one bit, for as long as my sodliers had their equipment.
