Seems like a new Honda to me. They arent the fastest (even though this one needs to complete its break in cycle) and their interiors are horrid.

The newer CRV's are probably one of the worst cars i've ever driven. I'd be more comfortable being stabbed in the back multiple times than sitting in the pieces of cardboard Honda calls seats.

@FordFanatic59 It's actually a nice car. Everything seems well thought out and very intuitive. I wouldn't want one but it is a decent car that I wouldn't mind driving on a long trip.

you can do torque launching to improve timing. hold brakes, hold gas, let go of brakes. bad for the torque converter but it helps a lot.

@immortal4942 not bad for the converter itself. not bad enough to bother about anyway. it heats up your trans fluid, and this not being a performance car, it probably cant dissipate that heat well enough.

My 2003 CR-V do 100 in 9 seconds. This engine is great as for this power, i can beat a lot of cars with stronger engines....

Official timing is 11.3s for 2.4L 5AT version

@korshm dude that info is wrong. CR-V does 0-60 in 9 sec. Fit does it in 10.3. Insight in 10.8sec. THe 4 cylinder Rav 4 takes 12 sec.

i own a crv 2.4 ivtec and a passat 2.0t

the passat is the one that accelerates in 7 sec because it weights the same as the crv and it has a 200hp engine the crv accelerates in the mid 10s
