just to let you know i got the Cd, thanks for your help with the link. The CD was not quite what i was expecting, came in a paper sleeve and everything was played painfully slow but still just about worth it.
This machine is a treasure. However listening to it as an organ builder- the Bass notes sound close to over blowing and the strings sound pushed as well. Sometimes the only way to get old stiff pouches to perform is to jack up the pressure. I wonder if this is the case here. I would expect a more refined sound from such an extraordinary instrument.
I have heard and read so much about it. Was it in California at one time? Where is it now? I have heard Australia. True?
