It's only partially fake. It's a real duck. The two shots of the surfer and the duck have been composited together. I spoke to the guy who made this clip the other day. So, to all you "I see strings"-guys: nope, you don't.

I'll be happy to let you purcahse one for a small price of 19.99, please look closer at exactly frame 69178 at the videos time of 18.7524 seconds, you clearly can see the strings used to lift the duck and the strings that flap it's wings.
