The point of this video isn't that trying to improve yourself will fail its that the man in the video removed himself from the negative eliminates in his life but not his actual negative traits. he was still the same man but in the middle of the jungle it was harder for him to behave in an improper way, as soon as a single eliminate was introduced to his secluded environment he was rushed by all his old impulses and realized he hadn't improved himself but simply removed himself from the world.
