the peshmerga is an army that is recognized by both UN and USA as the army of the KRG autonomous region of northern Iraq. the Iraqi government has also recognized the army. their duty is only to defend the territory, they are not involved in any missions that take place outside the 4 Kurdish cities of northern Iraq. they don't even serve in baghdad, the army does those kinds of things. the peshmerga has a light air reconnaissance ability and heavy and light armored division and growing.

you didn't understand me, the KRG has its own army of 400 thousand soldiers. the main army gets paid but the peshmerga is not part of the main army, its a force which can form within a week if enemy threatens to enter the borders of KRG region. when alqueda forces attacked some kurdish villages and killed some people. the main KRG army didn't get involved, its was the peshmerga which means the people united and drove them out of the area. peshmerga is the people. the army is the government.

i didn't say the peshmerga and PKK where allies. in fact more peshmergas have been killed by PKK than by saddams army. but Turkey threatens to attack the peshmerga, that naturally leads to the PKK and peshmerga to unite against a common enemy. at the moment the PKK are defending the Kandil against Islamic terrorist attacks. thats why the peshmerga are not very keen on driving them out. but Turkey has its eyes on Kirkuk and Irbil, thats got nothing to do with PKK.

the mujahedine are jokes, they are terrorists ok. peshmerga are freedom fighters. the difference is the mujahidine fights for money, you could call them pirates on land. but the peshmerga are a group of people who have risen out of the people, to this day they aren't an actual uniform army, they are the people. the kurdish army is different from the peshmerga. the peshmerga don't get paid from the government. the peshmerga has had many victories.

and just incase you didn't know, this video is about one of the victories of the peshemrga over saddams army at a place called Kore. as saddam lost control over the kurdish cities of Irbil, sulaymany and Duhok. they attacked gain to regain control over the cities. at Kore they faced the peshmerga and where defeated, they retreaded and lost control over Kirkuk too. however at a place called the battle of cheman the peshmerga couldn't hold Kirkuk so they regained control over the city.

my friend i think you live in fairy land. you forget that the sunnis didn't retreat from kurdistan because they felt sorry for us, they retreated because they lost countless battles against the peshmerga. hundreds of thousands of troops where killed and many more surrendered. they will take back whats rightfully theirs? what makes you think kurdistan belongs to arabs? history clearly says that arabs come from saudi arabia. we defeated the largest arab army without america.

and we don't care whether kurdistan is in peace or not, as long as kurdistan its free thats all that matters. the sunnis can't hold on to their own territories how can they have any control over kurdish territories. those days are long gone. saddam couldnt maintain control over kurdistan with his army of millions, now a couple of thousand terrorists will not be able to hold 1 inch of kurdistan never mind all of it. finally america is our ally they give to us what they give to turkey and to arabs

USA being based in middle east isn't what is keeping kurds alive. kurdish rebellions have being going on even before the first world war. USA is simply a close ally of kurds in the war against terrorism. they have helped arabs and turks by far more than they have helped kurds. its just that we are so good at war that we amplify the siltiest opportunity into a glorious victory. we don't see arabs as our enemies, but if they want to be, so be it.

there are over 3 thousand ethnicities in the world but many more countries. so every ethnicity has more than one country except kurds, why? dialect is in no way a problem to stop us from being a country. as long as kurds are free they can speak what ever language they want or even be a separate country. we do not compare ourselves with any other nation and arabs outnumber kurds a million to one. its the arabs that should be afraid of kurds not the other way round. we are warriors from birth.

the peshmerga forces are the defenders of Kurdistan and without them we wouldn't have Kurdistan today. however the only one that can command the peshmerga are the Barzani and the PUK. those Islamic terrorists are no peshmerga. they look like clowns, a bunch of pakis, afghanis and arabs dressed up in peshmerga uniform. they are disgrace to their own people and the whole world should recognize that peshmerga=Kurdistan and the freedom of Kurdish people from foreign power and from Islam itself.
