@ATVTVCOM Hello. I bought a 2012 Teryx Camo Le today. I hear great things about the bighorns but to be quite honest I am getting tired of looking at bighorns. I ride in a (woods) type setting 100 percent of the time. Could I go wrong with the Sti Black Diamond XTR for my 2 seat camo Teryx?
@jakenease They will work great on that machine! The only good thing about Bighorns is they last a long time - but I don't know why you'd want a poor performing tire to last a long time ;-)
@ATVTVCOM Exactly. Thank you. Also thanks again for your videos. I watch a lot of them and value your opinion highly. Pick up the Teryx tomorrow. I can wait. I am upgrading from a 700 eps Grizzly. Thanks again.
Respond to this video...Because Can Am and Arctic Cat do not loan us long term test units. We prefer testing on units we know the best....which includes the RZR...
@TheMightyMatt67 he has alot of polaris videos not much for can-am and arctic cat but he Duse a good job making the videos. Go to his website and u will find more videos of ATV test and there easier to find because they are under the year the bike was made,
hey atvtv what do you think would be the best tires for my 2003 honda foreman 450es i do alot of hard packed trails and dirt roads but also do alot of really wet and muddy terrain and i would like it to not have much sidewall flex because i do alot of "screwing around" and drifting on it, so in other words i am asking for the perfect tire?
@ATVTVCOM ok thanks and do you think that there is anything else that i can do to it to make it a better bike? it already has full skidplates and all the protection stuff but what do you think would be good for preformance, handling and stability?
@macgilliosa99 For me, the right tires is the most important thing you can do. Then, if you can afford it, a set of better shocks will make a HUGE improvement. Even the least expensive Works shocks will make the machine ride better, handle better, and sit lower for more stability and yet still have more travel! Lowering the machine about an inch is a big deal! Then I suppose the next thing would be a set of UHMW skids. The stockers work just fine but once lowered it will take more beatings.
Lol the 28's don't corner very good at all. The tire you recommend,do theymake those in a 28? The rincon is lacking in the ground clearance department
@txsmudslinger A lack of ground clearance is also labeled as a low center of gravity and is why the Rincon (with 25 or 26 inch tires) will corner so well compared to other machines.
@bradman1012 Disconnect the battery both about 5 minutes the connect and try it again. You should have a shifter tool in the toolkit for manually shifting the transmission.
Imo zillas are much better all around tire then the mudlites, the zillas are lighter, more aggressive in the mud, they're much better in the snow, and seem to have better handeling traits on the trails. The only downside to them is that they are a bit smaller (27'' is actually 26.5'').
@baconator127 no, i wasn't being dumb, i was answering someones question on which was a better tire, the zillas or mudlites, and the zillas are NOT a pure mud tire, the mudzillas ARE, google it. I would not recommend zillas as a pure trail tire, because that's not what they were made for. Keep in mind not everyone lives in the desert and not everyone lives in a swamp, buy a tire that fits the trails you ride on. And stop being ignorant.
I have a Honda rincon with some mods. I run 28-10.5 outlaws. I don't ride deep mud and water anymore so I would like to replace the rough riding outlaws with something smoother. I don't want to sacrifice traction to much though. What would you recommend ?
@txsmudslinger Wow! I'm not sure I can be on the same 'handling' page as someone that runs 28 inch Outlaws on a Rincon ;-) I'd run a set of 26 inch ACT HDs for mud and snow conditions.
@Donnyron The bighorns have a long tread life. While they look great and are very popular, we have found them far too stiff and with a far too hard rubber compound. We have witnessed a fully locked King Quad with Bighorns struggle where a 3wd(!) Honda Rubicon easily went with Carlisle ACTs.
I'm getting 29.5" outlaws for my HEAVILY MODDED 1999 Honda foreman 450es.

@macgilliosa99 As strange as this may sound, I have it - the Carlisle ACT. That's the regular ACT not the ACT HD.

@ericob313 are you dumb? a mud tire for the trail?
baconator127 9 months ago
@baconator127 In fact I've heard discussions about running full mud tires on the trails tearing them up so bad that they get closed!
