Thanks for this clear and concise tutorial! I am looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials. Also, I would like to know more about setting the audio to a specific camera when editing in multi-cam mode. Thanks again! You can also follow us @ skyhorsefilms on twitter.
Hi, I'm cutting music videos. If the audio I want to use is a .wav file (and not associated with the Video footage) can I sync the various angles with this separate audio file? Thanks.
#1: Highlight all the clips using one of the segment arrows. Then double click on an effect within your effect palette. Media Composer will apply that effect to all the clip segments.
or....
#2: Create an empty track, and drop a single effect onto the new layer. This will affect all the layers below it.
My Avid Media Composer 5 doesn't show the "Multi-clip icon" i can't see it anywhere.. my avid express pro has it, but my mC5 don't.. i have a multicam perfectly working but i can's see that bloody icon.. :( can i activate it somewhere?
I need to set so the audio will always follow the video but it only inserts the audio from one of the clips. :(
Hi, are you taking about the multiclip icon at the top of the Composer window? If so,
Double on the 'Composer Settings' within your Project Window, and look for the Window Settings Tab. Turn on 'Second Row of Info'. That should do the trick.

There are several ways to do this...
#1: Highlight all the clips using one of the segment arrows. Then double click on an effect within your effect palette. Media Composer will apply that effect to all the clip segments.
or....
#2: Create an empty track, and drop a single effect onto the new layer. This will affect all the layers below it.

@THEANnetWork
What version of Media Composer are you using? Some older versions of Media Composer only work with special MultiCam Media.
