I like how the psychologist/psychiatrist calls his methods "outdated". Then he goes on to talk about "building their strengths" etc and other nonsense self-esteem-raising techniques that only produce self-absorbed, whiny victims.

I think those people (I assume parents) who are cussing and yelling on here, are the people who are directly responsible for producing kids that rebel and turn into hellions!!!!!
Find some better form to explain your viewpoint other than "stupid" and vulgar words.
Perhaps education should be addressed?
As a parent you never know what obstancles with your children may arrise. Scope is beneficial!
Also, don't try to use those kid words like "jam" when their playing music or "homies" that seems like an insult. Before anyone responds, this is about kids 12+. You also should also ask, why questions. Like why do you feel this way about (blank) and such. Don't always be too hard on them when they do wrong and reward them appropriately when they do good. You may catch them smoking pot or drinking at some point, but remember its nothing you haven't done.
although i do agree with this comment I dont think you should put it in such a uneducated way....my parents used to give me spankings and put me on punishment and my younger brother and sister wouldn't get anything done... and you can see how different we are in attitudes...
My husband and I just got this program for our 5 year old whos been diganosed with ADHD and ODD, we are only in week one and we see a difference....If you follow it...it works...
I was doing a google search and came across this video. My grandson needs some help with anger and I was glad to see WPVI did the segment on this. Thanks for posting
