  • English shouldn't be considered the world's language.

Enforcing english would lead to the destruction of a culture.

  • What does he say? "If he aim English teaching is to....(?) students.."

  • @emanuelgadget Sorry, i've done so rude mistake in previous answer on your comment. In the beginning he says "if the aim of English teaching is to produce students who are able.... ect."

  • @emanuelgadget

    "produce"

  • t is known that most of the world's population does not need to speak English, but at present possible to be English and our duty, and necessary in a time Alhasr.

  • Hay que destacar que la mayoría de los habitantes del mundo no necesita hablar inglés.

  • if the aim of english teaching is to what?

  • Agree! My Teacher said I've Spanish accent!!! OF COURSE I HAVE!!! I'm Argentinian!!!!

  • Here he recommends exposing students to as many varieties of English as possible, so that" they become familiar with the range of variation that people put into practice in the streets...". He says in terms of comprehension, global English changes everything.

  • I totally agree with Professor David Crystal. We can not avoid global English in the classroom. It's essential to expose students to many forms of nonstandard variations as possible. Mainly pronunciation and grammar. Global English is making it real. I speak Brazilian English. How about you? It doesn't really matter. What does matter is our communication.
