Until a proper answer is revealed about why building 7 fell I simply cannot believe the official story. Silverstein owned the complex and insured it for a terrorist attack. He then stated that due to the huge loss of life, he ordered authorities to 'pull' building 7. You cannot organise demolition equipment to take down a building of that size in a few hours. It takes weeks of planning..

@Myoosikz Purdue University has done it with computer models, as did NIST. That is how you recreate events of this magnitude. Adam is right that they don't have the time & budget for it. Purdue took 2-3 years and hundreds of students to do it, iirc.
One big problem with that idea is that material density doesn't scale - on a 1/100 scale model (ca. 4 meters tall towers), the plane model would have to be around 50 cm both in length and wing span, while containing several hundred kilograms of fuel and weighing more than a ton. If you don't scale the density of the fluids, the fire will eat itself out after minutes, and I doubt much can be learned from that. Finite elements analysis is the only way to do this, but that's not good for TV...

I'm not gonna dig much into your post. I would like to remind you, though, that a Boeing passenger jet is not a "shitty plane". It's both quite enormous, and quite capable of destroying things if used as a projectile. The debris argument is just pure speculation. Are you a demolitions expert? Do you have expertise within the field of construction, and by extension, the demolition of buildings? I'm guessing not, which makes that argument a case of "I can't imagine X therefore Y".

It burned until fell, since steel gets soft if heated. In that whole process there is going to be funny coincidences and ppl will ask why did this happen and not that and so on. That normal in every dramatic event, proves nothing. Your not going to shoot down the whole story by nagging about the fall speed.
Yes, I am. because if you took just a little more time, and researched the physics and architecture of the buildings, then you would see why freefall speed, especially at the onset of collapse, IS such a big deal. what it means is that _all_ the supporting columns gave way within milliseconds of each other, and there was NOTHING holding the building up, even slightly, for 100feet. I have seen highrise buildings literally engulfed in flame for hours still standing the next day.

Apparently the whole process of the building collapsing took about 13 seconds since there was an inner collapse prior to the rest of the building falling down. Thats why the smaller mech building on top falls first, since there is noting to support it below.
Tell me how your "real science" explains how a plane crash turns a steel structure to nothing, and 500,000 tons of concrete(approx) to dust that covers half Manhatten with a few inches of concrete dust.

@MrPierrePhilippe Well, I'm no expert but from what I have gathered, the fire did not melt the steel and nobody claimed it did. It only weakened the load bearing capacity of the steel to the point of collapse. You see in hot fires, long before steel melts it gets softer and softer.

Until a proper answer is revealed about why building 7 fell I simply cannot believe the official story. Silverstein owned the complex and insured it for a terrorist attack. He then stated that due to the huge loss of life, he ordered authorities to 'pull' building 7. You cannot organise demolition equipment to take down a building of that size in a few hours. It takes weeks of planning..

Secondly, they found Iron oxide and aluminum in a pile of structural steel ... go figure huh. Any claims of thermite cutting of structural steel at WTC have been long since debunked. It takes seem to take a long time for anything new to get through to the truth movement, or perhaps they are just being selective.

lets go with what we know and what we know is that they found SUPER THERMITE all over the dust at ground zero and if you watch this show you would know what regular thermite does to steel it melts it, now imagine super thermite it is smaller so it acts more aggressively and actually explodes. One big problem with that idea is that material density doesn't scale - on a 1/100 scale model (ca. 4 meters tall towers), the plane model would have to be around 50 cm both in length and wing span, while containing several hundred kilograms of fuel and weighing more than a ton. If you don't scale the density of the fluids, the fire will eat itself out after minutes, and I doubt much can be learned from that. Finite elements analysis is the only way to do this, but that's not good for TV...

It's both quite enormous, and quite capable of destroying things if used as a projectile. The debris argument is just pure speculation. Are you a demolitions expert? Do you have expertise within the field of construction, and by extension, the demolition of buildings? I'm guessing not, which makes that argument a case of "I can't imagine X therefore Y".

@EikC I live about 10-20 miles from an airport and have seen Boeings coming in for a landing as well as them taking off. All I gotta say is THEY ARE SOME HUGE MOTHERFUCKING PLANES!! One of the big problems with conspiracy theorists is they like every one else are subject to human nature. Take the 9-11 commission report... You can logically tear it to shreds... If people focused on that aspect as the reasoning for a new and better investigation people really couldn't argue against it as you'd have a solid basis. However people focus on the absurd and use absurdities as proof of something they have no proof of.

you's seen the evidence, and think it's "not impressive" and yet i'm willing to bet you haven't seen the NIST report and yet swallow the official line it sells? if a high-school physics teacher can blow sizable holes in a document that was 7 years in the making, which contains GLARINGLY OBVIOUS errors how can you possibly accept it? most of the 'evidence' that was fed to us via the media has been proven, scientifically, to be wrong, so what is so 'unimpressive' about it?

NIST completely confuse acceleration with speed. Shyam Sunder stutters and totally fails to answer the question posed, instead gabbing on with no relevance.
The scope of the report was artificially limited - they were only allowed to do "analysis" UP TO the point of collapse - as if anything that happens after this was inevitable. This is neither scientific OR makes "perfect sense". If that report meets your definition of 'perfect sense'... words fail me.

@ThePassiveFist I'm no expert at demolition, but from what I have gathered, building 7 fell due to it getting trashed by debris from the falling towers. It burned until fell, since steel gets soft if heated. In that whole process there is going to be funny coincidences and ppl will ask why did this happen and not that and so on. That normal in every dramatic event, proves nothing. Your not going to shoot down the whole story by nagging about the fall speed.

Yes, I am. because if you took just a little more time, and researched the physics and architecture of the buildings, then you would see why freefall speed, especially at the onset of collapse, IS such a big deal. what it means is that _all_ the supporting columns gave way within milliseconds of each other, and there was NOTHING holding the building up, even slightly, for 100feet. I have seen highrise buildings literally engulfed in flame for hours still standing the next day.

@ThePassiveFist there was no free fall speed. I just looked into it. Apparently the whole process of the building collapsing took about 13 seconds since there was an inner collapse prior to the rest of the building falling down. Thats why the smaller mech building on top falls first, since there is noting to support it below.

Tell me how your "real science" explains how a plane crash turns a steel structure to nothing, and 500,000 tons of concrete(approx) to dust that covers half Manhatten with a few inches of concrete dust.
Of a fire that melts steel (from burning what?) and does not burn the papers we all saw flying around everywhere ?

@MrPierrePhilippe Well, I'm no expert but from what I have gathered, the fire did not melt the steel and nobody claimed it did. It only weakened the load bearing capacity of the steel to the point of collapse. You see in hot fires, long before steel melts it gets softer and softer.

Second: Whent steel soften , it's a slow, unequal process and a slow "crumbling".
Not a 10 seconds disintegration down to the ground.
The WTC was 10 times stronger then needed, the bottom stronger for the above weight.
Besides, the disintegration took the weight OFF of the structure.
And metal conduct heat, so to soften the steel for the whole structure to soften at once ...
