wow... i switched tabs for like a minute and left the video on and I forgot that i was actually listening to a drum cover, that's how spot on you were... great job man
Amazing cover bro! Probably the best of any cover, any artist I've ever watched. Makes me miss drumming. Had to get rid of my kit years ago when my mom and I moved into a small apartment and just didn't have room for it. Still, I don't have room for it but I'd MAKE room. My dillema now is that I simply can't afford a good set. lol
You covered it nicely, awesome drumset, it looks expensive, if you could get more camera angles mate this would be perfect, again cheers you make it look soo freakin easy =)
@joeydeleste ....Thanks Joey. Yeah....more camera angles would be a good thing - for sure. I'm stuck with this for now - due to time and equipment limitations. Thanks for watching and the kind comments.
Awesome cover... you did such a brilliant job of perfectly replicating a brilliant song! Well done,.. completely did it justice!!! Really enjoyed watching it.
MAN!! You rock!! I love the fact that you look so relaxed and yet you hit every single beat from the original Carter track!! CONGRATULATIONS all the way from Mexico City!
you have no idea how many times i've played this song and to see you nail it like this makes me so jealous! love how you make carters left handed technique work for you too. I shall be stealing some moves :) nice job man!
@cubs1908wsc ...Thanks..! It is the old ProMark Carter Beauford signature A/B stick. I dip my sticks in tool-dip to give a better grip. Carter's sticks are now available thru Vic Firth with the dip already applied.
@BooDrummaBoi21.....Many thanks..! I've been playing about 25 years or so. It's a challenge to play directly over Carter - since there are no drumless DMB songs around - so, thank you..!
Ur very welcome sir. Oh and by the way what advice would u give to somebody who's trying to perfect their pocket? I can play but I'm trying to mature and improve my musicality so that I can sound good and go all out without getting the rest of the musicians lost.
@BooDrummaBoi21 ...I would suggest recording yourself as much as possible and notice where you are speeding up and where you are slowing down. Use a click track to always know when to land on the beat or against the beat. Record your group when rehearsing and during a gig. Be fanatical about your time and tempo..!
@EmGeeKay77....Wow, thanks - that's nice to hear..! With all of these songs, I ride around - listening to them in my car before seriously doing any wood-shedding. I guess I spent about three days 'on and off' getting this close to presentable.
@absantomartino ...Thanks very much..! Ahhhh.....no drumless track - just playing closely over what Carter played. I tuned my drums close to Carter's and eq'd me just above him in the mix. I wish there was drumless DMB material..!
that was smooth! awesome.

do you use a drum dial to tune? if so what are the pressures you use for each tom?
TallRob360 1 week ago
@TallRob360 .....Nope, just tune by ear. I try to find the happy-spot where each drum wants to resonate.
