I guess this is a good place to ask... does anyone know the 'industry standard' method for demonstrating a vocal line in a song? As in, if I write a song intended for a higher female vocal I can't exactly sing a version myself as an example(!) so what's the best method for showing the vocal line? (I've tried with a guitar just playing the tune but it cannot accurately represent a voice.)
