He's such a nice and cool guy. I took his Jazz Improvisation class at Hampire College (in Massachusetts). Eatern Sounds is probably my favorite Jazz album.
And a great human being. I got to play with him several times, when we were both students at Manhattan School of Music, in the early sixties. We'd play music that only existed of a 12 tone row...Indian scales...Japanese scales. 5/4 time, and the like. Ahead of his time.
Yusef Lateef - fluit, tenorsax
Lionel Belmondo - fluit, tenorsax, sopraansax, Flugelhorn
Stéphane Belmondo - trompet
Laurent Fickelson - piano
Sylvain Romano - bas
Dre Pallemaerts - drums
