Yeah i do realize that the smaller triangle the nore stiffness it ads to the bike, but for a guy like me 190 cm or 6'3 i ride a 56,5 (L) frame. These small frames looks kinda funny. When i said aero bike i dindt mean the Trinity, i meant aero bikes for normal road racing like the one Cervelo or Scott is making :)
The extremely small frame adds a lot of rigidity to the frame triangle, increased responsiveness and better control. It would actually fit me perfectly, since I ride a size 43 frame (XS). In regard to aero bikes, I assume you meant the tri bikes. The Trintity is good for both tri and TT. Giant sponsors two top Ironman/Ironwoman with the Trinity and they constantly do well on the bike split.
Not sure if i like the extremely small frame they started using. I ride a tcr adcanced sl so i know they got a lot of slope, but these new ones are too small for taste, but iam sure it is an awesome bike. Just one off topic thing, me and my friend is allways arguing wich bike is the best, iam repping Giant while hes a Specialized/Scott guy, but he got one good point, which is, why is Giant not making Aero bikes ?
When they actually showed the bike in plain view, it was obvious that it's a brand new frame. Must have been designed to celebrate Giant's 40th anniversary next year. Glad I hadn't bought the SL this year. Still riding my reliable TCR Alliance 0 from 2007. Lucky Rabobank riders!
