  • She is dead!! can't you see the close up when she is "sleeping"? no EYE movement and plus when Jack said when he was dying "you are not going to die here, not this time" meaning she would die much later in this same spot!

  • People, she's dead. She went to the site of the Titanic, brought all of the possessions that she loved, told the story of the Titanic, dropped the Heart of the Ocean to the wreck, and then she was ready to die and be reunited with Jack. The Titanic was the happiest time of her life so of course she goes back to it as her heaven so she can be reunited with all of the people that she loved that died on the Titanic. In my opinion, this is the most touching scene in the movie.

  • The saddest part in this is not Jack dying, but Rose (old) saying "Jack Dawson only lives in my memories".

  • It is common sense that she died. This is her heaven. The Titanic was the happiest moment, because of her death so of course she would go back to it. There she would have jack & everyone that passed away on the ship. A beautiful and touching scene. This scene & when she jumps back on the ship while in the lifeboat, I believe are the most touching scenes in the movie.

  • in my culture, we are told that when we are dreaming of a deceased family member/or close significant others, and they reach out their hand to you we (wake the fuck up if possible) should think twice because it usually means they're inviting you to die with them, and in this scene Rose reaches his hand, so i interpreted it that she has in fact died, and accepted it.

  • It isn't a dream because most of the nice dead people are on the titanic here. The ones who survived aren't there...

Also, Jack said she will die an old woman in her bed...

I think she may have died whilst dreaming.

  • i think this dream)

  • Really clever use of the object recognition from scene to scene (like the glass ceiling) so emotional and whoever dislikes it it weird! x

  • c'est la scène qui me fait le plus pleurer , pck ya vrmnt tt le monde ..

  • ~It's at 1:23 on the bottom right.

  • @twilightqueen1 Now I also realized that Fabrizio stands near the statue of the grand staircase, all the way at the end.

  • This is the most touching part of the entire movie!

  • this is my favourite part of this film. i always cry when i watch this scene..it's touching..

  • 13 dislikes = 13 worthless muts

  • great vid ^^^

  • wow i love this vid and movie! and the movie is the best part. i wish jack had lived so that jack and rose could had lived together and be happy, well that's what i think. I LOVE TITANIC

  • ComeOnPeople,TheWholeSenseOfThatSceneIsThati t's not aDream, butHerDeath! She told her story, left the diamond in the ocean and she was free and ready to die.Rose was the last Titanic cruise member who had stayed alive. She was greeted by all the Titanic passangers, crew, and the most important person for her-Jack.Everybody was smiling, people were happy, they were already in another world. All together, with Rose. Beautiful scene, which wouldn't be even a half that beautiful if interpreted as a dream!!

  • @Ingenue87 Amen.

  • Why would y'all want her to be dreaming. She was like 101 years old then. She died and bet jack an she had a bunch if babies...... End of story. I hate that argument. Explain why else she would see a bunch of dead people waiting for her. She should have been dead so that why her soul returned for jack.

  • @ToniLove1993 if u look it up the guy who made this clearly states we decide if she lives or dies >_<

  • the director said that it was up to us on weather she died or was dreaming.

  • you who believe that she dreams you are wrong, what happens is that she will return to the Titanic and she was reunited with Jack and all the others who were on the Titanic. so Jack has stand there and waiting for her, until the day she would die as an old lady in her bed, just as Jack said. So that's heaven for her to reunite with hertrue love

  • It's not a dream. She died, as an old lady in her bed. Like Jack said <3

  • Who noticed this is flopped?

  • Comment removed

  • Did she die in the bed or is she just dreaming when shes asleep?!?

  • she isn't dreaming.. she has died

  • :')

  • what is the name of this soudntrack?

  • @loonycarnival it's a version of my heart will go on...im pretty sure its on the titanic score soundtrack ... you know, the cd with all the backing music on... hope this helps :)

  • @Georgiababieee the dream < i found it... thank u very much

  • ive always wonderd this and no one answered but how did water come out of a light?

  • im going to listen to this when its night time, on the cruise ship sailing the atlantic.

  • opote akouw afti tin sigkekrimeni melwdia anatrixiazw..aste ti ginete me to official to klamaaaa :///

  • I think James Cameron says that the ending is left open to interpritation and that you could think of it as a dream or her death.

  • @HighschoolWizard11. That officer was only trying to maintain order with the chaotic behavior. It put a great deal of stress on him, he didnt really shoot with intent to kill, otherwise he wouldnt have blown his own brains out.

  • If u think about it, all those people knew and hated each other, but worked together to survive and in most cases died together. The feeling that they were all perhaps a family, working as a unit like the united 93 passengers. This scene showed the beginning of a whole new world that we may all look forward to. Reuniting with loved ones such as rose did after 84 years.

  • she died. it was emphasized by the owner of the ship greeting her and then you can see the captain in the background last one to clap as they kiss. everyone on that scene were those that perished on the ship. very well done IMO. pretty damn brilliant.

  • I Cried so hard at the ending... jack and the others have been waiting for years for rose to come back to the ship (heaven) and she dd. They can all live the lives they want now because they are in heaven <3 BEAUTIFUL piece of the movie

  • The scene is Final.. But the Feel Begins !!!! " Final Scene; Begins the Feel " Than-Q

  • It isn't a dream, she dies and rejoins Jack and her friends on Titanic in the afterlife, it always brings a teat to my eye this part, so nostalgic

  • she didnt dream

she died and went to heaven! that is how i like to think of it

  • u made this video so bad

  • 100 years. Wow...

  • The ending scene was probably Rose's own heaven where she stays in the restored Titanic with all of the deceased passengers and her true love Jack.

  • this wasnt a dream. this was where she goes to her own heaven and meets jack again

    titanic was soo good...

  • It's sad though. This is her life, a life of tragedy and sorrow. Now the ending is her heaven all those people are the ones who perished.Oh course though she died.

  • yeah this isn't a dream she died in her bed

  • @Dancing88Mike i hate when its 1 key higher

  • I wonder how james cameron can be so sensitive

  • i had to crie

  • this is my favorite song out of all of them. beautiful

  • nice!!

  • the officer that shot tommy is there?! :O

  • he waited for her for 86 years!

  • foi bom.. mas é outra musica que to procurando.

  • I cry so hard because she died an old lasy warm in her bed just like jack had said 86 years before, she could of died of any thing before than but just was watching over waiting for the perfect time </3

  • There's no moment, there's no event, there's no movie that can make me cry the way this movie did 16 times and probably always will.I'm crying now and I believe I will always cry on Titanic.

  • @RoseJackDawson1 im a man, and this film always makes me cry. especially the part where they're in the water, and the lifeboats are near them. and rose says "jack, wake up".. when the sad music starts to play when we realise he's dead, makes me cry

  • @PissinAnts I'm so glad there are men who can admit that Titanic made them cry.

  • @RoseJackDawson1 i aint bothered bout admittin it lol... and im a softie anyway. i cried at tears of the sun, which is a bruce willis film lol

  • dudes, at 1:11 when u saw the whole movie, at this szene every male must cry when they open again the doors omg and u know they all are death and have made this scary experience omg so sad that szene!

  • leonardo, i love....

  • i love them together in real life too : leonardo and kate winslet !

  • Beautiful Scene :,)

  • that sound is amazing after 0:22.

  • i thought her relationship with mr andrews was great.

  • No kidding! I thought it was her in heaven with Jackand the other passengers at first until I read that it was a dream.

  • What the hell was that gippo doing in first class anyway?

  • i believe that Rose died and finally got to be with her Jack sooo sweet <3 this movie will forever be my favourite

  • i never realized that tommy stands there ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @twilightqueen1

All the people standing there are those people who die in the movie! ;)

  • I'm going to find my Rose...

  • thats heaven for rose

  • Well, if it were a dream maybe people from her past AND present would be there. But, from the moment she floats back in all you see are people that went down with the Titanic. They meet by the clock, to me its a symbol of time...idk but i love to think that she went "back to Titanic". She never really did let go.

  • Make it count

  • Nobody really knows what happened, James Cameron said he wants the audience to choose for themselves if she died or was dreaming

  • It's Not Her Dream,,She Dies In Her Bed And Sees Jack,,In Her Afterlife;)) TaaDaa!!;DD

  • She died. She died an old lady in her bed.Just like Jack said.

  • @demilovato6787 She fulfilled her entire promise to him. :)

  • @Valerie217 And that's what true love is all about

  • beautifully done!!!!!

  • THIS IS WONDERFULL!

  • aw :')

  • you ruined it by adding the flashbacks

  • She died. It's not a dream.. If I dreamt that, I would kill myself just so it would become reality...

  • I try to hold back tears when I watch this in school but at home... Well... Lets just say I get all wet from tears!

  • Man, it's impossible to hold tears with this video :/

  • This scene made me even more of a mess than I already was. It's so sad, yet there is ineffable beauty in the heart wrenching sadness.

  • beautiful =)

  • The grand stair case, still don't believe what happened at the end.

  • The thought that it could be a dream never crossed my mind once in 14 years.

Ah, the added nostalgia makes the final scene even more beautiful...

It seems very clear to me that she died. And interestingly, the fact that she joined others who had died on the Titanic seems to me to imply that she died a figurative death when the ship went down/Jack died. It just took 84 years for her spirit to return to where it belonged.

  • Not a dream. She dies happily ever after. That's what makes this a beautiful final scene.

  • i cry every time i see this scene

  • THANKS FOR THIS :')

  • that wasn't a dream she died and she is going to see him in heaven with all people died at the titanic

  • I love this movie!!!!! It is the nest movie on the whole wise world.!!!!!!! -3 - -3

  • I can't wait to see this in 3D next year. :')!

  • esta pelicula me gusta de ma siado

  • sailing to heaven :D

  • i like the part at 2:07 This is the best movie ever, next to The Green Mile

  • Let's see. The crew, Rose's maids, The Band, Jeffery, Mr. Andrews, Jack, Rose.

    WHERE THE HELL IS FABRIZIO!?!?!?!

  • @bestshowontheweb you can clearly see him at 1:14 standing on the right side of the staircase, directly under the statue with the light.

  • This music is bloody beautiful, I cry every time I hear it <3

  • Not a dream, she died "an old lady warm in her bed" :) It's obvious that she dies because everyone in that room all died on the Titanic. I cry everytime I watch this part, but it's my favorite :) He waited to be with her again for 84 years :')

  • according to me she died. after so many years, remembered the whole story. did what he asked Jack survived her life as she could to fulfill the request of the jack. left in a warm bed and went back to the people we once had joined them die.

  • many say the babe died in her bed warmth i believe she's still lives reason being the cow yet haven't had many babies and not wrote letter to the president she should have taken Cal's hand with love then the gutter rat him self.

  • Jack was the father of her child

  • I love the movie, and this scene always makes me cry,BUT there is one thing I don´t understand. If after her death Rose gets back at the Titanic to be with Jack, then what happens to her HUSBAND(the father of her child)? Will he rest in piece all alone, without his wife, who wants to be with her ex?

    Still cool video:))

  • @VampireSlayerLady Wasn't he already dead. WASN'T HE CAL?!?!

  • @bestshowontheweb She has a granddaughter in the movie and she says "I didn´t talk about Jack to anybody, not even to your grandfather",so she had to marry someone after the disaster:))I meant that guy:)

  • @VampireSlayerLady ikr always bugged me xp

  • It is maybe not the point of this video but just think about it, love like this is rarely seen in the real world.

  • Cry for love <3

  • I love it i love it I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

  • Yeah, this wasn't a dream, this was more like heaven

  • Mr Andrews <33

  • Im craying =[

  • Ever since I first saw this scene in threaters. I've always wonder if Old Rose died in her sleep at the end of the movie and went back to the titanic to be with Jack. Is that true. I'm pretty sure it is. But its been bugging me for 15 years.

  • @2009RaiderTomb James Cameron left it up to the audience to decide whether she died and was reunited with Jack & the others on Titanic in Heaven or if she was just dreaming that. I personally think that she died and was reunited with Jack <3

  • @iVailey96 I think so too. I was just never really sure about the ending. But now I know. :) God I love the music that goes with this scene!!!!!!

  • @2009RaiderTomb beginning of final lines: She died an old woman, warm in her bed.

  • @bestshowontheweb Beginning of final lines: I'll never let go Jack, I promise.

  • @2009RaiderTomb I meant of the entire Movie, not just the recreation. The narrative at the end goes "She died an old woman, warm in her bed."

  • @bestshowontheweb Now I finally understand it. :)

  • @2009RaiderTomb she id die that night yes

  • @satmtca: Yeah. I thought so too. I think it was a very peaceful way to go. And the music just made it that more beautiful. Long Live TITANIC

  • @2009RaiderTomb If I remember correctly, both Kate and Leo said they believed that Rose had died, and James Cameron said it was up to each person to decide what it was. I always thought that she had died and gone to her own personal heaven. Apparently, they call this dress the "heaven dress", so I figure my assumption is pretty good.

  • @riniel17 Oh okay. Cause when I first saw the ending, I always wondered if Rose had died in her sleep or if she was just dreaming. But I think in the end she finally did die and went back to be with Jack again. Plus, I love this scene. :)

  • @2009RaiderTomb I asked myself that same question when I saw the movie when it came out - was she dead or dreaming but it makes sense that she dies as Jack says she'd die 'as an old lady warm in her bed' so it makes it very beautiful and romantic how she is reunited with him - and he's waiting by the clock for her!. Absolutely wonderful movie and love this end scene - everyone is reunited which spiritually I feel represents heaven (we all are together again in the end). :)

  • @greenkitty82: I almost lost it when the ship came back to life and we saw all of the people who died on the ship and as they made a path for Rose your eyes went straight to Jack waiting at the top of the stairs after 84 years. And I just though that this was a very beautiful and romantic way to end the film. And I can't wait to see it again in 3D.

  • @riniel17 wow i never heard about these informations, now I have to re-interpret the end of this beautiful movie....

  • @2009RaiderTomb I think you got it right on point. If you think about it, Jack sort of forshadows it right before he makes Rose promise that she'll live.

    See?

    '

    '

    '

    V

"You’re going to get out of this...you’re going to go on and you’re going to make babies and watch them grow and you’re going to die an old lady, warm in your bed. Not here...Not this night. Do you understand me?"

  • @inupuppy101 Yeah now that I've watched the movie again and really listend to it. Jack does forsee how Rose's life is going to play out and that she does die an old lady, warm in her bed. And that in the end of the movie her sould goes back to the titanic to be with jack and all of the other passengers who died that night.

  • Not is a dream. That scene represent the rose's soul meeting with titanic passengers & crew because she dies at the end of the film and titanic come back to be new cause the rose's soul is the last piece needed to complete the titanic's jigsaw

  • I find the pictures on her desk so emotionally powerful. She lived her life to the fullest for both her and jack. You can tell Jack was never far from her thoughts. Then there's just something so profoundly touching and comforting when out of all the happy periods in her life she could have picked as her heaven, she chose her time with Jack to be it. Don't even get me started on the music. I wish I could find a love so strong and lasting and know even after this life, we will still be together.

  • I Think Rose Died because the people shown in her "dream" were those who vanished in the Titanic

  • i feel like the ending could be interpreted differently depending on the audience because you can say she died and "returns" back to titanic. or she could just be dreaming. but then again, if its a dream why include everybody else in the scene when it could have been only jack? hmm haha CANT WAIT TO SEE IT IN 3D :D <3

  • oo q lindo video siempre me a gustado TITANIC a sido la mejor pelicula romantica

  • 100 years since it happened next year. I wonder if they will reshow the movie in the cinema.

  • @Lifeholder Yes it's coming back out in 3D tho

  • I wanna get married on the Titanic ;____;

  • Codie, this son

    g is why i MARRIED U!!

  • it's a shame Titanic will be gone in only a matter of years.

  • @0701110aysoccer its slowly rooting away D':

  • maybe it started out to be a dream and when she appeared it was then she died. she was happiest with jac and thus she was destined to end up with him

  • it isnt a dream, rose dies and old woman warm in her bed, as jack pleaded she does! :'(

  • When I grow Up i want to be Mr.andrews

  • I nearly fucked myself when the advert on screen was for a disney cruise liner!

  • It was as if she was waiting her days out to tell her side of titanics story and how she fell in love not only with Jack but with the ressurection of her memories of her younger days...she dies only to become apart of them again

  • This is a lot how I imagine reserection day, so for me she died. Imagine, everyone waiting for you when you come back then you get to go spend forever together. I can't wait 'till then.

  • Sarry for my faults .... English is not my first language (i'm french)

  • Well not really if you look at Rose just before this scene you see her lying in her bed just like jack said just before dying : you will live old and you'll die in your warm big bed at night ... well here it is she died and relives her best moments of life and it's at the Titanic were she meeted Jack .. and Jack was waiting for her to die ... it's a BEAUTIFUL story i cried like a baby !!!!!

  • the ending really cheerde me up .............. so she sota lives with jack int the dream. i guess

  • Love the music ! :D

  • this is the best end this film could ever have...mr cameron thank you for this cinematographic masterpiece...
