  • @MyGirlCajun No way...he can actually die? That is so sad...

  • my cat is 16 and he acts like hes still a kitten

  • pretty cool

  • if you squint it almost looks cgi lol

  • Holy crap why pay $200? Just go out and find a stray cat, It's the same.

  • @MarkBTW Cats cant be programed. And who can cope with smell in a flat since you have the responsibity to have them indoors and besides they go nuts indoors

  • That's why you train them. This toy can never simulate a real animal.

  • @MarkBTW .You dont train animals, nobody likes i dont".Within 20 year we have artificial Ai so we can have our best Pal in that pet 2.

  • What? Type a correct sentence please. You can train animals.

  • you cant train a cat to be predictable

and this robot has a highly advanced emotions program that is still in its development stage an can be upgraded trough special software to be like a real pet but without the doodoo and the food that you have to buy and the healthcare that will together cost more then the cost of the robot

  • Predictability Isn't always good, Why do most people get a pet? For affection, and this robot can never give you that truly. And someone that really wants a pet could overlook the doodoo and food and train it to poo in the litter box. It's not that much of a hassle really. And you know what this thing needs that a real pet doesn't? CHARGING AND BATTERIES!

  • yes you are right about that but you have to admit this thing does have good programing for a robot you dont see robots everyday that are programed to remind the past and make a artificial personality that comes forth from its past experiences

  • Yeah it is impressive. a good child's toy, But I don't don't see why you would spend all the money on this when you could get the real deal for free.

  • well the real deal looks free at first but you forget that there are taxes for keeping a pet and the cost of food so actualy its not free either but i get your point a real pet is beter if you want real love and not artificial love

  • I don't have to pay taxes for my pets. But I guess food would sum up near to the price of this machine.

  • @MarkBTW

Real pets cost a lot of time to take care of and they cost a lot of money too... the smallest dog costs around 30$ in food by month. Than there's also the yearly visits to the veterinary, vaccines, operation, castration, fleas... you can't escape that.

Don't forget about allergies and risks of biting and clawing. A younger child doesn't understand that he can annoy an animal... he could get easily hurt.

Not everyone is ready for so much responsibility, a robot pet is best for them.

  • You don't need yearly visits to the vet, operation or castration. And They have flea collars. If allergies are an issue then a robot might be the way to go, But a cat isn't that much responsibility, And even if they are a little bit more responsibility, You get so much more out of them.

  • @MarkBTW

OMG you're so wrong, I have cats, and believe me... you NEED to get them castrated. You never saw a female in heat? She wont let you sleep for days... and male's pee stinks and they tend to mark their territory every where unless you castrate them.

As for the yearly visit to the vet, yes its necessary unless you have an indoor cat.

Flea collars are horrible for their skin, I'm not kidding about this... no laws currently protect you're pet from deadly "made for pet" products.

  • I have cats as well (2). And Ok maybe it would be best to get them castrated, But you can get that done for like $15. And And you don't need yearly visits to the vet because the whole point of this is having an indoor cat, Otherwise you don't have to have them castrated, the female starts making noise, You put it outside, and you do the same if the male cat is peeing everywhere. And flea collars are fine, if they where so bad for your cats then why would they sell them? They can handle it.

  • you can't just put a female in heat outside!

I thought the point was having an indoor cat? Outside, they get parasites and illnesses which means more visits to the veterinary.

Has for the castration, for males, its not that expansive but for females, it costs a lot more. Indoor cats, it's common that they get obese and you still need to get them vaccinated for the Rabies. Finally, a bag of cat food by month costs more than a few batteries. Not everyone can handle so much responsibility.

  • Why can leave a female in heat outside, If it gets knocked up then you get a cute little baby kitty to sell or keep. And I've had over 8 cats in my lifetime and NEVER had to bring my outside cats to the vet for parasites and illnesses, God made them to be able to handle the outdoors. And indoor cats only get obese because you over feed them, And can usually find someone giving free rabies shots. And you can get a bag of cat food at dollar tree and feed them for 2 weeks. And its worth the trouble

  • @MarkBTW

because when a female cats get pregnant and have babies she needs a break, at least 3 months before becoming pregnant again. If you don't give her that break she'll die at a much younger age.

Indoor cats get obese because they lack exercise, not because of their food.

Cheap cat food is terrible for their liver, and will eventually get them sick or even kill them. You clearly have no idea, you should research before getting any pet. Its becoming responsible of a life after all.

  • I cat won't likely get pregnant more than once in 3 months. If you don't want them to be obese indoors then give them some toys and play with them (That's the hole fun of having them) And there liver will be fine, You don't have to pamper a cat to have one, They will probably die within 5 years no matter what. And don't try to say I don't already have a pet, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and there all doing fine. Maybe you should learn the common sense that a cat can take care of itself IF YOU LET IT

  • @MarkBTW

Cats are supposed to live at least 13 years if they die at a younger age: they got crushed by a car, killed by a dog, or... you're a terrible owner and let your cat die. NO, their liver wont be fine if you buy crappy food, it can even kill them in the long term. There is merely no laws protecting your pet from awful products. (worse than fast-food) My mother used to work at a veterinary and she told me a lot of dogs and cats almost died because of their toys (swallowing and poisoning)

  • Cats don't live 13 years. Yes there liver will be fine, It won't kill them. And flea collars won't hurt there damn skin, They aren't little babies that you need to take care of every second, cats are naturally wild animals and can fin for themselves, If there outdoors, all they NEED is food, And indoors all they NEED is food, water and a place to use the bathroom. The rest they can do themselves. They are tuff, And there not hard to take care of.

  • @MarkBTW umm my cats 21yrs old

  • @weedysmyplant umm no it aint i dont belive you @_@

  • cats are born to be wild and adventerous, not kept indoors, my cats dont have all the jabs against illnesses and have never been ill :) maybe i just live in a good area :) they are seriously easy to look after, i no this from experience, i had 6!! :)

  • @littlelauren971

yeah maybe but I have 2 healthy cats that were born 13 years ago. I doubt you're cats lived that long if you feed them cheap cat food and never bring them to the vet.

Anyways, you said it yourself, cats are adventurous. They fight with rats and each other sometimes and they can get hurt. My cat for example have eye problems because something clawed her. If we didn't brought her to the vet, she would have gone blind. (her treatment was worth around 300$)

  • two of my cats lived till 20,and we took them to the vets if they needed anything like if they got fleas, wed treat them,i just mean that they didnt get any of the jabs against flu and stuff , what are your cats names? and what breed? the cat food we get isnt that cheap either, and im sorry to hear that about your cat who got her eye clawed.

  • @littlelauren971

my cats aren't a breed, the're mother was a stray cat and the father a white Persian.

By the way, outdoor cats often have parasites, it isn't always obvious. They get them in water puddles and other animals.

Its hard to find good pet food since most of them are liver destroyers... you usually just have to read the nutrition table and make sure there is no "meat by-products" (its crappy meat)

  • aww, do they look like persians? or a mix? i check for parasites and other things they catch everyday so there clean lol

yea, me and my friend are alwayz trying to find really good cat food, but its hard to find really good ones, i do my best though :) what do you feed yours? my cats are really fussy aswell

  • @littlelauren971

My cats looks like raccoons for some reason. (but they say meow, so it isn't, lol)

I tried feeding them healthier food but they are really difficult and wont eat it.

Anyways, my point was just that... cats makes good pets but, they need some attention too and taking care of them isn't as easy than taking care of this robot.

  • lol, at least raccoons are really cute! yea same mine wont eat, part of it is probs cuz other people leave food out and its really annoying, especially as we dont know who it is! yea you can just turn the robot off and leave it! have fun with your cats! i wont reply cuz ive gtg now bye

  • @MarkBTW

training a stray cat??? omg are you insane, it will cost way more getting a stray cat than this robot... you need to castrate it first!! Females gets really annoying and males pee everywhere if you don't do it. Than the'res the rage vaccine and all the other vaccines, and the food. So... overall, even a "free" cat is more expansive than a robot.

  • I'm going to say it would be about the same price in the long run, But this thing can't match even a stray cat, Training a cat isn't that hard. And you don't have to charge a real cat :))

  • you can't train cats.... no matter what... you can teach them tricks maybe you you could never train them.

  • i have trained my cats

  • @littlelauren971

yeah right... training isn't just answering a name, its not clawing furniture, not peeing in unwanted places, and not doing anything you don't want them to do. Even if you try training a cat not to climb on furniture, as soon as your gone, he'll do it.

  • im getting one on monday

  • get this! my pet pleo mooed like a cow like last night!! it was so funny! ":D

  • my pleo cant walk or he dont wont to

  • does he have a artificial breating system, that would make it more realistic

  • is this toy really woth the money?

  • yup

  • yes!! it is worth the money!!! :D

  • oh so cute

  • @GeorgieZillaFan i sold mine... ;( IT WAS BORING

  • @fresno00 why didn't you give it to me?

  • @GeorgieZillaFan Ya that ROBOT is worth it!!!

  • es de verdad? o de jugete?

  • es un robot ta muy caro

  • how loud is that thing?!

  • I wish Ugobe would make a T-Rex and Raptor and Stegosaurus!!!!

    I want this for Christmas!!!!

  • I simply can't believe my comment got three thumbs down. That makes me sad.I mean it shows just how disconnected and shallow our society is that people would prefer a mindless machine to taking care of living, beautiful creatures.

  • I think you got thumbs down because you said that a "cat" would be more rewarding. Society seems to have an aversion to cats. ;) LOL! If you would've said a dog, you probably would've gotten a thumbs up or two. XD (Not that I have anything against cats. I like all animals. ....Even the robot ones.)

  • Wow society doesn't like cats?I don't see how anyone couldn't like a cat. They think for themselves unlike a pleo, hah even unlike a dog.I mean pleo looks like a fun and probably overpriced toy, however it can't truly love you.Sure real pets might take more worth but I think they are worth it.

  • I am a cat person myself but we have family members allergic to them.Think cost as well(you don't only feed them you have to afford the vet as well..pet hotels if you go somewhere..)

Real pets are simply costly..It's a fact..that goes for dogs as well..If you live in a small appartement like we do there is just no way. My other concern would merge into the conditions in which they are bred..and the mix breeds are true cruelty I think. For the sake of all creatures I'll stick with the bot !

  • It's good for kids that aren't allowed pets or in case of allergies.

    A substitute I guess.

  • Maybe but still not as rewarding.I'd much rather have something that actually does love and appreciate me.

  • i agree with you!

  • i bet you said something without thinking how people would take it. if you said 'people who like this obviously don't like REAL animals', that would, of course, be very offensive. you also seemed to have said cats are more smarterer than dogs or something.

but anyway. a robot pet can be just as awarding since you can put it in a closet for several months and not feel too guilty about it. do that to a real animal, and one would be a bad person, even if the animal was hibernating.

  • how do you charge Pleo? Is it by Battery and an adapter?

  • compratevi un animale vero..!!

  • A cat is much more rewarding.Sure it takes abit more patience, but it is a real creature with a real personallity, that will really care for you.

  • I rather give this to my 5 year old to learn to care for than a real creature to begin with ..People buy pets for their kids .The latter lose interest thus abondonning a"real creature" somewhere...The gilt isn't that bad with a robot..The only remorse is the price tag..But that would be a good place to start rather than a real animal which makes all the difference.

  • True to an extent, but I had pets when I was that age and found them much more rewarding than any toy.I think it would depend on the mindset and maturity of the kid if they should have a real pet or one of these.

Still real pets can teach kids valueable lessons about responsibillity, respect for life, empathy.I don't think a plastic machine can teach those things aswell.

  • At 0:23 she should have given him a GOBBY!!

  • nice tits

  • How much is that?

  • like 250 bucks

  • Probably the only robot you can pick up chicks with!

  • Aww... I want one. D:> It's like a very laid back puppy that you don't have to feed.

  • Really good video of showing who Pleo is to the world. Bravo!

  • kcaruana. ur such a n00b for posting ur comments on this video. OMG U GET A LIFE LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOSER! ^^ pleo is so cute btw

  • well it apears that some people do care buddy, i mean yeah sure... its a toy, so what, i would preffer to have a puppy, but it's pretty cool what it's capable of, secialy for a kids toy. if u dont have nothing nice to say, dont say t at all. lol thats some shit jk.

  • is it for kids or can my grandma use it too?

    lol!

  • They should pay more attention to the skin... the sculpt... It's made of silicon by the way

  • I personally (dont have pleo) but have Drex, and I play with Drex while playing with my pets. My hamster likes to climb to its head while my bird bites its tail =) Its so fun to watch them play with taht toy and I also have lots of fun

  • 有牙齿没`

  • i think it's stupid and make non sense. i hate the idea that people find it cute. and waste time "taking care" of it, "love him". it's only laytex, wires, cameras and so on, it's just a stupid toy.

why do we need that when there are real animals, that love us back, for the things that we do with them.

now im going to go and play with my toaster couse she needs alot of attention, she is sooooooo cute :/ :O :O :o:O

  • because animals are not toys and i think this is an awesome toy.

  • yeah animals are not toys and toys are not animal, you can't treat a toy like a real animal, they give "love" and "attention" to a toy, a toy have no emotions it's not alive, it's not intelligent. even a 2 year old child don't do that to his soft toy

"to those girls in the vid, make a baby , get a pet , get a boyfriend or get a life"

  • i agree

    gooood piont

  • Real animals, that cost money for food, vets bills, when they piss on furniture etc. Unpredictable, dangerous animals, like dogs.

    Etc etc...

    This is amazing technology.

At least you can put it in the box and ebay it after christmas, unlike a puppy.

People abandon pets like theyre shit. The sooner there are more toys like Pleo the better.

And yeah.. Pleo's cute as hell :)

  • well, you've got a point there. but you have to admit that Pleo is a damn good technology demonstration.

But i will rather have a dog...

  • why dont you just get a real animal you fucking freaks

  • because u dont have to cleam up pleos shit

  • u dont feel like a retard stroking a plastic dinosaur and treating it like areal animal?

  • dont you feel like a retard trying to be smart over the internet because so far...its not working for you

  • xP xP

  • was I the only one enjoying the cleavage the whole time?

  • Yeah its a lame cleavage!

  • cute?????????

  • what would u give it out of ten?

  • 10 lol

  • Fuck!!!that's very expensive

  • I wasnt looking at the dinosaur

  • i have a real pleo..who wants to touch it!!

  • great video ,and brilliant robot, many thanks

  • I have a cat. And you know what makes it real? The cat doesn't give a shit about me.

Btw what about cluster behavior, when there are more than one ^^

  • Yes, well of course cats weren't evolved for humans' pleasure. They evolved to survive and reproduce in the wild, like everything else. When pleo can find the replacement parts for himself and sources of power on his own, build his own replacement and defend the survival himself and his next of kin, then I will be truly impressed! ( And who knows, perhaps a few hundred years from now that will be possible. )

  • We love Shiny!

  • Great video!

  • LOL

  • yea u know what I mean

  • of course lol

  • yeah of course! lol

  • Meow.

  • sicko...

  • yea yea u know it bethie777

  • robot toys, i love them.

  • I think thw word "robot" can be misleading when you talk about pleo :)
