when it comes down to it...men need to take responsibility in raising the kids! it shouldn't only be on womens shoulders! this is why men get away with anything they do(i.e. Rape) and this needs to end!
Many men want to be a involved fathers, but men are pressured to earn money in order to deserve love and respect from women and society. These men feel that if they arent providing for their wives, then their wives will lose respect for them, so they work harder and longer hours and are then labelled as neglecting their families.
Men dont get away with rape due to sexism, its because of the difficulty of prosecution.
"There isn't anyone systematically misleading them"? - on "the glass ceiling"? - what about the BBC, or the White House, or left wing political parties around the world, or the unions, or feminist organisations?
@jontycampbell Meaning we are constantly lied to about wage gaps and glass ceilings and how oppressed women are. Google 'why men earn more' and read up on it a bit.
@sexismBusters I suppose in some jobs there is a wage gap for good reason, particularly if one is paid on how much work you do: e.g. get two tons of topsoil delivered, the soil has to be moved 100m nearer another spot two people move one pile each with barrow and spade. one moves a quarter more soil than the other in an hour, even though both are doing exactly the same job, the person moving 25% more should be paid more hourly.
@sexismBusters I'd venture another factor is biological drives : If a woman has a child, raising children isn't cheap and *someone* has to look after it...So no, women cannot 'have it all' unless you can afford a nanny.

@tom181071 Misleading them about their opportunities. Not their oppression. She meant. I think.
