  • Sons bury fathers. Always a shame if it doesn't play out that way.

  • I can't imagine how can a mother talk about her son's death and not shed a single tear....

  • its the letter bit that really gets to me

  • Simply tragic. For no reason at all, just tragic.

If there is a God he's a sick fuck.

  • @SensiStarToaster We can't judge Him. Only through Him can Eric or any of us make it through such a tragedy.

  • @mpenfold100 accepted God into your life and not denied his existence as you most likely seek a way out of the judgement your brought upon yourself. I am in no way implying you to be a bad person i'm simply stating even a person of your beliefs as crazy as i believe them to be should be more tolerant of someone else's beliefs without rude, uncalled for, or blatantly trying to insult them as a person. on a side note Clapton rocks shut up about religion this isnt the forum for it just listen

  • @apike505154 You're brainwashed from birth and believing in fairytails without any fact to support the claims. Christianity used to be a cult, illegal to worship. There used to be dumb people like you killing people who didn't pay homage to Poseidon or something like that. Your head can't be so far up your ass that you actually believe Christianity has all the questions right? They give simple men temporary answers for the things they cannot explain (and therefore fear).

  • @mpenfold1000 if you so strongly believe that God does not exist then that is your belief. Although how wrong i think it is you seem to be pretty set in your beliefs. So i say this in the most humble and heartfelt way when you die and your body becomes nutrients in the soil i hope a beautiful tree flourishes from your remains only to be cut down so that it could be processed into paper and have the uplifting and true words of the bible printed on it to give millions hope while you wish had

  • people love the opportunity to diss dead people and their families on the internet... hope it makes you feel good about yourselves

  • sad song for me. I was 17 and my girlfriend was pregnant and her family made a choice for her that still makes me sad,

  • it mustve been tragic to loose something like that ..... he seemed like a sweet little guy ,

  • He was a such a adorable boy...so sad to hear that he died so tragically ;'-(

  • la vie

  • those pictures where he is holding a guitar and trying to play are so adorable... what a profoundly sad event this was...

  • This is a reminder to all parents to take carefully of their toddlers everytime......Never leave an eye from them coz accidents come unexpectedly......Always make sure they're in a safe place.......

  • Well she needs some professional help.By the way you were in my spam folder.

  • Soo Sad

  • Conon knok on the havens door =)

  • Being a mom who has buried 2 daughters. The pain is so intense tears won't fall at first i think you are in shock. It takes years to process. If you ever really do you just go on because you have to, this song has really meant a lot to me. I would like to say thank-you to Mr. Clapton for sharing this song with us all.

  • @betheney21 you buried two daughters im sorry miss my heart goes out to you and your family

  • i was born on the day conor falling out the window.

  • @guitarpower10 I was born the year afterward. I'm almost twenty.

  • 15 years? I mate it 21 years. Its hard to imagine walking into a room and your son isn't where you left him and the window to a massive drop is open!!!!

  • so sad I lost my mother and it tore my world apart it still is all I do now is just walk around looking for a sign it sucks death is not fair lost her to Cancer but a kid falling 53 feet has to be hard on the heart

  • I remember my music teacher telling me about this when i was in about 3rd grade and being horrified even as a little kid myself. His son was the same age as me. It's weird to realize he'd be in his mid-20's now too. He was such a beautiful little boy.

  • :''((

  • When the song "Tears in Heaven" came out I remember my Mother telling me what it was about - such a terrible tragedy, I have no children :( but it breaks my heart to think that any parent should ever have to bury their own child, that is not the right order of things.

  • I would still love to hear the music Conor would have made and I'm 20. Eric is a LEGEND. R.I.P Conor

  • never knew what the song was for until now, ima cry everytime i hear it now.. thats just terrible.. only the good die young <3

  • how was it the mums fault, it was a freak accident.

  • I'm a guy, been arrested by the cops multiple times. I'm not some fairy woofter, but this just makes me cry like a baby.

  • When the tragedies of Rock'n'Roll history are considered (i.e.,Buddy Holly, John Lennon, etc.)

this one should not be forgotten. Conors parents have probably cried so many tears, that it is

hard for them to cry any more.

  • @dweml258 That's why the song is called "Tears in Heaven."

  • maybe the mother got over it pretty quickly thats why she doesnt seem too sad

  • I like the father, and feel sorry for him.My condoleances, Eric.

    But the mother?

    No comment........................

  • such a beautiful child.

  • There'll be no more tears in heaven where he stays..

  • Capisco il dolore Clapton ho perso i miei 2 figli in una macchina accident.Mia figli sono stati 22 e 21 anni.Mia dolore è great.io mancano con tutto il cuore.

  • although i think peoples belief in an afterlife gives them solace, i dont think lying to themselves is the right way to deal with grief.

  • @highlanderdurp

Hey, I'm an atheist myself, but I believe people should deal with grief in a way they see fit.

If religion is the answer to those people, so be it.

  • I'm a parent to a 9 year old daughter. This makes my tears flow. He's with the Lord our God is the only solace, I can't imagine the pain felt by Eric and his wife.

  • Everyone is physiologically evaluating Eric and the mom like your know what your talking about. there Son is dead.

  • e muito triste o que aconteceu com filho do cator Eric Clapton

  • What is the song's name at 1:33?

  • @Adzist1002 She's Waiting from Behind the Sun.

  • all these years have passed and this story just breaks me apart,,,something so preventable,,,

  • No matter how long ago this happened its so sad and heartbreaking.

No child should die this young.

  • @racefan32 no child should have that death. falling 53 stories must be like hell

  • @kidkosh yeah i know there was something off about her

  • I got to sing that song at a remembrance concert one year well I was in grade 5 or 6. Music can definitely heal pain like losing a loved one.

  • wow, that is definately a sad sad story. hurts. feel for you eric and laurie. no child or anyone for that matter should ever suffer that fate, and it must be unbearable for parents to bury their child.

  • @iceshaver

that is so fucked up you deserve to burn in hell

  • @iceshaver jesus kid go fucking die faggot.

  • @iceshaver - You are one of the wastes on this planet that should be in place of Conor Clapton. IDIOT.

  • @mrb3n fick u man! a kid is dead u stupid shit, and how can you say that about a person, YES he did do drugs and YES he did have lots of affairs, but come on man shut up. and show some respect for this dude

  • @iceshaver i know yu wanna be funny or whatever, but dude, not cool. a child died, make a joke about something else please, just out of respect.

  • @iceshaver Where the hell did that come from?!?!?

  • @iceshaver What the hell is wrong with you??? Have you no compassion!!! When another human being dies, it is a terrible tragedy, not a joke. Go inflict your hated somewhere else!!

  • @dancerjakey u mad bro?

  • She doesn't seem too upset to me. I think the bitch killed him. She looks like a psycho. You can see it in her eyes. She's probably got that Munchausen disorder where the mother's kill their children.

  • @SkankExpose totally, a good friend of mine died of a heart attack when he was 14 and his mother and father litterally wouldnt let go of him at the wake... i guess thats why im so biased by thinking that you should show a little more emotion when talking about your dead son... but thats just me

  • She dumped him off the window.

    She looks delirious

  • Whoever it was who got paid to design the window layout in that high rise should be fucking hung.

  • @MrJuno6 - Thats a very good point.

  • this is depressing why am i watching this shit

  • thump down!! SORRY!! not 4 the video!! this botox,...lips-pushing wannabe lady/MOTHER!! SUX!!! her heeeheee,...blabla!! God bless this little kid!!! "tears in heaven" is a song in my mind n in my heart 4 ever!

  • the "wannabegirl" at first,.who is this??? awesome bad one!!!!

  • @chriztianHH ok,...the mother,....PUMP UP THE LIPS!!!!! COOOL on the interview!!!!!

  • I still cry when i hear this song . I can feel the pain whenever i listen to it.R.I.P little Connor.

  • We all make mistakes in this world. Unfortunately, her mistake of not keeping an eye on her son led to his fatal plummet. It did prove to be the inspiration for a great song that became a major hit though.

  • slow hand claption did not deserver this rip connor claption

  • If your going to bitch and whine about religion and how shitty your life is, you probably shouldn't have wanted to learn more about a song called "Tears in HEAVEN..." Keyword there, you see.

  • @ MusicInfected Some people whom learn english as a second language keep the speaking mannerisms of their first language... a more correct version of what she said would be "I think he was a angel... I think he was beautiful", she was not confused about her thoughts. You are a tolerance fail...

  • ''he was an angel, i think...he was beautiful, i think''. What a stupid bitch with a cunt face....

  • Still from a human perspective its tragic and sad, but God has a reason for children dying, because their souls cannot be corrupted and some are spared early for reasons only God justifies because HE created it all and HE can take whoever whenever. Also those that are lost and broken can be healed, but some are spared because there is a lot of the evil he saves them from. :) HE is in heaven and will know your name but we must confess Christ and seek the Spirit, those who do not know Him.

  • @onewaytoprovegod what pills you on mate? 'satan' if that's what you call the 'devil' was gonna attack that child why did 'god' spared that child... look around you, see a world full of bad things... children die every day so where is your god now? my brother died when he was only half a year old, so I don't think there is any god... and if there is one, he can rot in hell... death and pain is the only thing I see from religion.

  • @spermwaste I think you read too far into the initial comment. A lot of parents prefer to assign some meaning to their child's death so it will seem to be less of a waste; if that meaning is a higher power knowing better than they do, and they find some closure in that meaning, you're the one imposing your beliefs on them by saying their child's death was for nothing.

  • @jeveuxlesoleil how you mean 'meaning to your child's death'? my brother died in the arms of my father because he had a genetic disease... what's the meaning in that? the 'onewaytoprovegod' guy says satan was going to attack the child?! come on... if you'd know how my brother died at that age you would understand there is no god... and the evidence is all around us.

  • @spermwaste Forget religion, you want to put this to the test to see if God is real once and for all? You think God, who IF HE exists, who is hidden from people IF He is real at all (I am playing advocate for arguments sake) You think God wants people to blindly believe? Most religious people don't know God nor have they received the gift of the Living Water from Jesus. So you don't or can't believe? Can you read? Can you ask even thinking there is a 1 % chance God exists?

  • @spermwaste Then I challenge you to do something that will take you a short time, read the book of John, Luke and Revelation in one week. Just those. While reading, ask aloud from Jesus to reveal the Living Water to you through the power of the Holy Spirit so that you can know Him. Until that happens, all faith is dead, false, delusional, self perpetuated & fake. You knock with reading n asking for a week, lets see what happens, then we will know for sure right?

  • @onewaytoprovegod People like you make me fucking sick. The fact that you are using your "god" to make this tragedy seem like a blessing confirms your ignorance. Take a long hard look in the mirror and see the jaded asshole that you are. oh and by the way, CLAPTON IS GOD.

  • @bringback10klf Calm down the kid died because of neglence on the nanny or the parents who should have been more careful, either way the fact is why does GOD allow kids to die? Maybe we have free will but I know that a kid who dies young goes straight to heaven, not the heaven you read about, the heaven Christ personally showed me a few times. I can care less if you make fun of me, I don't need validation, I have shared with others how to receive the Living Water from God

  • @onewaytoprovegod LOL. I wish I knew you personally so I could cuss you out face to face. close minded ppl like you aren't worth my valuable youtube time

  • @bringback10klf Tell you what go ahead and skype or call me and lets talk & you can cuss me out voice to voice, but first you have to answer a few questions and ask a few more too because you don't know me to judge me.

  • @onewaytoprovegod I'd rather T bag a pot of boiling water. I'd just like to make you feel like an idiot in person

  • @onewaytoprovegod Though I see your point, I still think it would be very hard for a family to just go "Oh well, he may have died, but at least he won't be corrupted." EVEN If the child was corrupt, the parent's love for them would never fade. Evil is always around us, its our choice to resist it or be consumed by it. That is why God gives us free will, to choose our own destiny.

  • @brandon2232 Isaiah 57:1 "The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil." Psalm 116:15 - "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."

  • @onewaytoprovegod See, I am catholic, but I usually don't read too much from the bible. I often feel if someone said "EAT FISH SPEND MORE MONEY ON FISH" you would have about everyone eating fish. Though, I understand what you mean, its still the choice of each human of what they will do with themselves. God will leave us signs and show us a path, its the persons choice to choose it. As for child deaths, you could could tell a parent this all day, but they would still feel sad.

  • @brandon2232 I know it hurts when we lose ones we love, especially children, hardest thing ever. I don't believe only because the bible says so, I was not church raised, I read the Gospel alone in my room asking for heaven within here on earth, a new Spirit in me, Christ's. Then kept asking n reading, 3 weeks in nearing the end, Jesus did it & has been with me since. Then my mom died, then HE showed me where she went, different parts of heaven, hell & other hidden things.

  • @onewaytoprovegod So what is God's reason for my nephew being sick. Why is it that my nephew who is nine years old can't do things like walk, talk, change himself, feed himself and for the rest of his life have to be cared for. Why is that there are times when we wonder if he will make it through the night. So I guess you are saying God wants him nephew to be sick. I guess you are saying if he passes away that is good cause that is what God wants.

  • @Markb2477 Your nephew was with GOD before HE was born and knew exactly where he was coming and why and agreed because HE loved GOD and JESUS so much and they told Him the promises of eternal life, showed Him and HE gladly agreed as a SPIRIT before this life, that's why. HE is the test for the family, HE keeps that family humbly close knit in a way that you can't understand right now, but trust me, God has His ways & reasons to test all, your nephew has a free pass to heaven.

  • @Markb2477 I am not here to blow smoke, you want proof do you? Listen to me for three weeks and GOD personally will show you Himself, this is what I do, I once asked God a few things reading the word fasting and HE revealed to me a lot of things. MAINLY THIS - for anyone who wants to know God personally & have heaven, Christ & the Holy Spirit given to them, power from above given becoming sons of the MOST HIGH, I have a message for those types who want this, who are wise & strong.

  • @onewaytoprovegod you are absolutely disgusting.

  • @mpenfold100 GOD TAKES ALL SOULS OF KIDS TO HIMSELF STOPPING THEM FROM DESTROYING THEIR LIVES.

  • @mpenfold100 DEAL WITH IT.

  • @onewaytoprovegod There is no god. People just need faith to get through life. Fact is all religion is bullshit. It's all obviously just evolution and science whether you believe me or not. People get sick, people die, people unfortunately have accidents and pass away it's just the order of life. There is no "god" Deal with it.

  • @bertola420 Really, no God? Jesus came to me personally flooding me with the Living Water. No God? Then ask Jesus for a week if HE is real and what the Living Water is all about, you will be shocked into belief friend. I seen Him many have too, right n wrong exist because you are divinely made, there is a law in you, that lawmaker is God, Christ is the Savior who will reveal Himself to you if you are willing to seek Him through asking for the Holy Spirit for a short time.

  • Satan was gonna attack that child hard so God took Him to Himself. Period. Evil was going to enter hard into his life and GOD spared him. I know this to be true. Peace.. and love, I am not here to judge but if anyone wants to know how to reach God, I mean REALLY reach Him, connecting and breaking through to the other side, PM me... love ya all....

  • youve got to have eyes coming out your arse when it comes to kids of that age.

  • R.I.P

  • kawawa

  • @asongulowl you mean shijni kagawa ??

  • The mother dosen't seem too torn up about it.

  • @kidkosh Well it was 15 years ago. Eric didn't even cry when it happened. They are probably hiding their feelings, or just dealing with their grief in a different way.

  • @Shishkaraz How to you know he didin't Cry, if you don't see it on the news doesn't dn't mean that he dincry while he was taking a shower or he got a lot of sleepless nights..

  • @Shishkaraz Absolute nonsense, Eric did very much cry every tear in his body. You don't know what you're talking about.

  • @Vierotchka Do you have any proof that what I'm saying is nonsense? Because if not, you just look like an idiot. I read a article about it published by Connor's mother, she said that he never shed a single tear but he dealt with his grief in other ways. I also have 35 people who seem to agree, so...

  • @Shishkaraz I saw him weep, tears flowing.

  • @Shishkaraz scource?

  • @kidkosh this was made recently

  • @kidkosh oh I would be so careful not to judge

he loss of a child at any age is profound I think she is just barely holding it together

there is so much shock in a death such as Conners

My heart goes out to her I hope she is doing better

I heard she remarried and has children

  • @kidkosh This was made pretty recently, but you have to think. You raise a child, see him every day for four years, then he's just gone. I have to believe there's an emotional pain threshold where you don't cry, you're just torn to pieces inside and can't even express emotion from the pain.

  • :'( this is so tragic. Tears in Heaven is sucha beautiful and heartwrenching song. RIP Connor Clapton. He was such a beautiful boy. he's in God's care now.

  • @rissygirly22 "heartrending" "gut-wrenching"

common mistake ....but, of course, it's "the thought that counts" ;-)

  • I LIKE THE VIDEO, NOT THE TRAGEDY. I SHARE IN THE SAME AND THE PAIN. HEART WRENCHING. I KNOW

  • the 40 people who disliked this dont deserve to live

  • @theSLENDERMAN97 well ike... maybe they're disliking the death :( cause i cant like thjis video :(

  • Poor child. R.I.P Conor Clapton. He was such an angel..

  • R.I.P Conor Clapton, Eric Clapton I'm so sorry ;'(

  • i think in this video you should dislike not like because connor claptons death is not something good

  • @11alex11able you don't understand the meaning of the like and dislike buttons.

  • Its a beautiful song and Connor is an angel...

  • love.NO LOVE 4 THIS

  • oh god im crying(ballng) tears, soo sad i couldnt go on without my daughter, god bless them, such a beautiful baby

  • Stupid bitch killed her own son through stupidity.

  • @zane1377 you;re an idiot zane. wasnt anybody;s fault, tragis accidents happen. She;ll feel guily for the rest of her life and so will he for not being there.

  • @HippiePhoebe Learn how to spell you ignorant motherfucker.

  • @zane1377 you can't think of a better word to use you ignorant jackass?! Shame on you foul mouth

  • am i the only one who immediately thought as soon as the mom showed up on camera thought "shes not a used up neglectful mother at all..."

  • @nastrael It's real easy to blame the mother ain't it. But the truth of the matter is, you don't know how she feels. And you are being a little unfair. What about Eric? Is he not copable? You can't tell what kinda parent somebody is from a 3 minute clip of them talking.

  • @WrestlingBC12 im just being honest, if my kid died from falling out a window when i shouldve been watching him theyd be cleaning up two puddles instead of just one...

  • Television and newspaper reports, in Brisbane Australia on the evening of 20 March 1991, said that Eric Clapton had taken his son Conor to the Zoo in New York, then the next morning that Conor had plunged to his death, and on the evening of the same day, that EC was being held in custody by New York police, and that he had had sought legal advice.

  • @MartinTimothy1 The official story .. the janitor swung open a glass window 4 X 6 feet tall, to let in fresh air .. Conor ran straight through the window .. Eric arrived five minutes later!

Bullsh*t, the windows on tower apartment blocks do not swing open!

Require statement from the janitor and the nanny, with shots of the window that was allegedly left open, and details of just where, and on which face of the building, the deceased is alleged to have fallen from!

  • Very moving.

  • 1:31 :( pobresito me da mucha tristeza me dan ganas de llorar , soy hombre y que ?

  • Oh my god i dont know what to say...its terrible that things like this happends, rest in peace conor! This is so sad that peoples life just get an ending that soon. four and a half years old and dead?! its just...i cant hold the tears back...

  • @SuperMinecraftlady yes its so sad when our kids are taken away from us :(

  • Eric wrote tears in heaven and deadicated this to conor

  • @AidansGituar- Eric's a strange cat. He claims he

wrote Tears In Heaven for Connor in a "profound

state of grief". However, there is old footage of Eric

working on this same song from 12 years before.

Obviously he dusted it off and passed it off some-

thing spontaneous. He then proclaimed that the

song was "highly personal" and would not be

released. Days later his producer "accidentally"

overheard Eric play it and talked him into "sharing

it". Eric cried all the way to the bank!

  • @ArgentineExpel4Fraud i really didn't knowthat. thanx for pointing it out

  • Comment removed

  • This is so sad! I'm dealing with a death right now in my family and songs like this make me sad but it is a great way for me to cope with this hard time in my life

  • I HATE IT SO MUCH WHEN KIDS ARE SICK OR DIE!!!! PLEASE SOMEONE STOP THIS!!! ALL THEY WANT IS TO PLAY AND BE HAPPY WITH MOM AND DAD!!!

  • @0:23 D:

  • i used to be like "-.-" when i heard the song and know im like "T_T" whenever i hear it............

  • I never saw this story - omg!! How awful!!!!!

  • crying my eye out now =",",(",",",

  • RIP. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • i can't help but cry when i hear the song .

  • @b1e2r00 Me too , its so tragic what happens to this little boy ......

  • I remember that day....ohhhh ...I cannot even begin to say what I felt..I ran to the bathroom and wept for about 2 hours non-stop. This is any parents worst nightmare. What an adorable little boy.

  • Fuck... i'm crying ;(

  • mr. clapton as you already know god is good, your son is in heaven god protect's kid'si am so glad that you found some peace connor is n heaven.

  • :'( thumbs up if u where sad watching this

  • I don't think that anyone can ever possibly know how either of them felt after loosing Conor but publicizing his death is no different than reading an obituary in a newspaper, yes it is hard to her people talk about a child that has passed especially if the child was close to you, but I think that his death being publicized did open up more awareness about these high rise apartments and how dangerous they can be to a child,

  • I have great respect for the mom here. I'm sure she is devastated by the tragice loss of her wonderful son. Yet in the interview she chooses to be upbeat and focus on how wonderful her son was to have. Instead of feeling sorry for herself the whole time.

Eric's song is beautiful and I have great respect for him as a man in being so vunerable in putting his deepest feelings to a song and share it with the world.
