People complaining on here that you need to have super expensive equipment and that its junk to get this need to go drown themselves. I have a custom built htpc that I built three or four years ago with an 8800GT, 2GB DDR2 and an 3GHZ Dual core processor and an Acer h5360 and i can watch 3D bluray movies with ease. But then again if you don't work and live in your moms basement..........then yea it's gonna seem a little pricey.

What they should be working on now is to create a 3D Vision/Virtual Reality system, where it's your traditional looking Virtual Reality goggles that concentrate your entire field of view inside the goggles, so all you see is just the LCD screen, this alone would immerse you alot, and then add in the shutter technology. Surprised we don't have this yet actually.

@MrChrisZig When non 3d tv's say they're "120hz" they are talking about taking a 60hz input signal and interpolating an extra frame between each real frame to make a smoother appearance. It's still only a 60hz input signal. A 3d monitor/tv has to be a TRUE 120hz INPUT. So that 3d can render a frame for left and right every other frame, and the glasses sync accordingly. I have 3d vision, and it's amazing. I can't game without them now..

@cratos828 2D pictures and 2D movies will stay the same. they convert nothing. for picture or movies to be 3D you have to take picture with special camera. ill skip long explanation. just know that they wont do a mirecle and turn your 2D pics in to 3D

B: 3D-Blu-Ray players will work on 2D HDTV's, but you won't get the 3D affect, it will only be 2D. So yes, you need a 3DTV to watch Blu-Ray3D in 3D.
