  • I have not seen 1 review showing how this actually hooks to a NON apple product without using the USB block.....

  • this is stupid, because u gotta put that stupid thing on the phone

  • Cool idea but having to attach a fugly thing on your phone kills it. GTFO and make it work without the stupid sticker.

  • get a powerstrip its worth it than this piece of shit

and you will save alot of money!!

  • kan u use it for motorola cliq

  • Yeah it is cool, but a waste of money. You still have to put the thing in the mat, so why not just plug it in? And spend the money on another gadget.

  • thats what i say

  • It looks like a cofee mat lmao

iCan see that thing in the office.. and people charging there phone on the farthest side and the cofee pot sitting on the other side haha

  • I have this it's awesome

  • its wireless! just have to sacrifice the sleekness of your device.....fuck that!

  • wonderful. now why the fuck would i spend $100+ on a completely obsolete black shiny thing. it honeslty sucks

  • just charge it regularly what a waste of money it like $120

  • there are chargers the size of the iphone holder that are wireless, the downside is the you plug the charger in for an hour before using it

  • By the time you buy all the shit you need, you're in the hole a pretty penny. What are the pro's here? hmm.. you don't have to plug in a wire or carry a charger. Instead, you can add 1lb to your phone, spend a lot more money, carry a bloody charging "mobile" box with you. This would be cool if you didn't need all the other shit. It's more like PowerMat and friends....

  • its not wireless -___-

you still need to plug your phone or w/e to the "case", which is pretty big -_-

  • hey yeah its bulky but still its pretty cool considering it hasnt really been dont before. so yeah, im sure in like a couple years itll be just amazing

  • oh quit your whining - this is just step in the future, im just thinking is it even possible to have a longer ranged wireless charging, i mean come on - can you even imagine how hard it would be to recharge - let say. a phone from 10 meters long range? <.< be realistic and dont expect the impossible

  • its better to have wires.

all that "wireless" crap is full of radiation and all kinds of signals.........cancer anyone?

  • this idea stroked my mind a few years ago.. this is old shit for me :D

  • I don't see the point of this. You have to buy an adapter for each device, the mat itself must be plugged into an outlet, and you can't use your device while it's charging because it has to e sitting on the mat. I'll stick with the standard power adapters.

  • i agree smart one!!

you can call that thing a protable thing that shit sux

  • umm this is just dumb, why would you give up the freedom of using your phone while charging? its not wireless alright but it also renders your phone immobile, do the cases with the metal plate on the back that plugs in your phone included?

just a gimmick gadget, wired adaptors are far more efficient

technology is not new btw, your electric kettles are using the same technology

  • stinks that's so expensive, cuz it's a really cool concept, but i can stick to charging things through a wire to keep 130 dollars in my pocket.

  • Very surprised that it charges faster than regular outlets. Cool.

  • how does it work?

  • It uses magnetic induction technology - the pads touch each other and help recharge the gadgets.

  • @networkworld

hmmm.. if this is "high school physics" then why hasnt it been invented at the start of the electronic age?

  • @hitmonlee00 high school physics. magnet's create electricity which make the cell charge. the magnets wont hurt your device don't worry haha.

  • lol they keep calling the DS / DSi a "Nintendo".

"You can charge a Nintendooo" lol.

Anyway, looks really cool for the Blackberry, because it replaces your battery door.

  • I didn't have enough time to decide whether that was a DS or a DSi, and I knew that if I mis-identified it someone on YouTube would make fun of me for the mis-identity. lol

  • Actually that's a good point, lol. Well taken. :)

  • @MrMicTest - The part on the back wasn't that heavy - on the BlackBerry it replaces the back battery cover - on the iPhone it acts like a separate case, so it's a bit heavier.

@jacobbill - we just posted last night, so hopefully our view count will go up as more people promote it...

  • Do want. Why only twenty six views?

  • wow magic O_O

  • thats totally awesome, but the powerfues thingy will make the fones heavier?(in someway), and thicker

  • Possibly when the device was announced at CES, the IDG News Service did a video. This is one that's closer to hitting the market.

  • wasnt this shown in another network world video
