@EVANS462 Well, these babies can be used as an extra-low timpano, or maybe for thunder effects in Wagner operas, as well as some Richard Strauss and Mahler works. All you do is roll it hard, and I bet it will overpower the bass drum easily. And you won't need to scramble for steel thundersheets(rare stuff), you just need to buy it off the rack at the terrific Memphis Drum Shop!
So, you have the Remo gong drums... But do you have the Remo tunable drum table? I'm longing to hear it!

I dont own a gong but like the sound they produce, especially bigger size gongs. They are more of a novalty.
I look at this and can't figure out why? and then again except for maybe a symphany who the hack would want it.
It kind of reminds me of a kettle drum sound but not as versatle as a kettle drum.
