I never really liked Obey because i didn't' understand it. all the "popular" kids on tumblr would take pictures with the hats and shirts and i would just say whatever. But I've always loved the Make Art Not War posters and shirts because they didn't seem over hyped, like the Obey stuff. Surprised when I found out both things are made by the same guy O__O

When you think of the riots in London and what actual human protest is about. It makes these posters with consumerist posterized images of earlier iconic political figures look like DISNEY CARTOON CHARACTERS... This is so meaningless and to sell the images on stickers and tshirts so suburban kids can pretend to acknowledge the bleeding edge of human struggle from the comforts of their bedrooms seems so TRITE and CHEAP and WORTHELSS... In reality these are just GIMMICKS to make some CASH!!!.
