@ProphetChaser the primaries dont mean shit if people dont stay to become delegates. romney is currently in first with about 96, then ron paul with about 47, then gingrich with about 36, then santorum with about 28 in the delegate count. even though santorum won all three states the other night the majority of the delegates went to romney and paul, but no one will know the real count until the end. its very fucking complicated. Washington proclaimed the U.S. neutral in the wars raging in Europe after 1793. He avoided war with Great Britain and guaranteed a decade of peace and profitable trade by securing the Jay Treaty.
Washington's Farewell Address was an influential primer on republican virtue and a warning against partisanship, sectionalism, and involvement in foreign wars.
