This will be the college I'm going to be going to an doing this kind of stuff next semester. I'm very proud of the men and women who have completed this police academy. No body will understand the hard work they have put into doing the police academy unless you have been through it or will be going through it. I'm happy this video was uploaded. I'm excited and can't wait to start there in January.

@Grunt922 Not anymore boss man, Training is 1000 times different then that of 15, 10 and even 5 years ago. Most officers now coming in are ridiculous and so is the training. As someone who had multiple best friends in the army and hearing them tell me how easy basic was. Im not so sure now that police officer training isnt superior to that of the military. Most of the academy instructors have the "old school" military back grounds.

Police Academy training doesn't come close to military boot camp training. 1.5 miles runs in 12 minutes compared to the military's 3 mile run (marines anyway). They can have all the "old school" military background they want. They're bound by rules in the Academy and have to train by the book. Academy training is for LEOs not military.

By the way. Check out S.W.A.T. A Program of Regular Police officers trained into Elite Tactical Response teams. They are trained monthly and it's Volunteer which means they don't get paid (Least not our swat team) and yet they perform at the level of a Military Special Forces unit.

They should have at least a weight standard before accepting recruits or at least meet basic physical requirements. Then when they do make it through they should abide by weight regulations.
